2019 Ashes Series
The Ashes is heading back to England in 2019, where Australia will defend the Urn.
The Ashes is one of sports greatest rivalries with history dating back to 1882, where the term ‘Ashes’ was actualised after England lost to Australia for the first time on home soil. The following day, the Sporting Times published a mock obituary of English cricket team after their dismal performance, stating ‘The bod[ies] will be cremated and the ashes taken to Australia.” The jovial concept caught the imagination of the sporting public and a few weeks later, an English team captained by Hon Ivo Bligh departed for Australia vowing to return with ‘The Ashes,” while Australian captain W.L. Murdoch declared their defence. Ever since, Australia and England have contested The Ashes Urn usually every two years, with Australia being victorious on 33 occasions to Englands 32. Australia won the most recent 2017/18 Ashes Series held in Australia.
The Ashes is widely regarded as one of sports most prestigious and historic events and carries with it incredible respect in the sporting world. The last Ashes Series in the UK was held in 2015 and was a tough series with England winning 3-2. The 2019 Ashes Series will be hard fought with England looking to reclaim the coveted urn on home soil to tie the historical standings. While the cricket can be any teams game, the atmosphere will certainly be spectacular with sell-out crowds expected at all Tests. Whether you are a newcomer or an Ashes veteran, there’s nothing quite like watching Australia take on England at Lord’s, the home of cricket and a venue on the bucket-list of all spectators!

These flights are fully flexible, you can travel to and from the UK or Europe whenever you like. You can fly through Perth or Singpaore and fly to and from Qantas’s other European destinations on request. For example, you could choose to fly from Sydney to London via Perth to start your Ashes Package and return back from Rome via Singapore to Sydney with no fare difference and you can explore Rome and Singapore after the Ashes!

Removing flights? We can remove flights from most packages, however we advise against it, as we have extremely competitive and flexible fares. But we can do it, so please get in touch for the reduction to remove flights from your package. If flights are removed, your airport transfers won’t be included.

Ticketing
What ticket types are available?
For days one to four, customers will have reserved seats. The fifth day of each test is general admission seating. Specific categories and grandstand information will be provided in due course. If booking as a group, seats will be allocated together for all group members. Adjacent seating may not be possible for additional group members if they are added to a group after the initial booking. We will endeavour to match seats in this instance.
Where will my seats be?
Seat locations are part of the allocation supplied to Cricket Australia by the England & Wales Cricket Board. Sections are not known at this time. Customers are unable to choose which reserved seats they would like, but requests can be taken, importantly no request is guaranteed.
Will there be fifth day refunds is play finishes early?
If play ends after four days, the fifth day general admission ticket will be refunded, this will happen after the event finishes and be issued by Cricket Australia.
I’ve lost my ticket, what should I do?
Lost match tickets will be voided and new tickets will be issued in the instance that they are lost. A re-issue fee of A$110 per ticket, per day will be charged to replace lost tickets. Emergency contact numbers will be provided in your travel documentation.
I only want to attend 1 or 2 days of cricket is this possible?
As a Licensed Travel Operator, our packages come as 5-day tickets. We are unable to reducing the number of tickets in your package.
Can I purchase 2019 Ashes Tickets by themselves?
No, as a Licensed Travel Operator we have Official Packages which include travel services to help fans travel to the event. Ticket only sales will happen through authorised outlets in due course, but we do not sell tickets individually.

- Pricing is listed per person in Australian Dollars.
- Listed prices and availability are subject to change at any time.
- All payments are non-refundable in case of cancellation.
- Changes to bookings incur amendment fees per transaction, plus any applicable fees from suppliers (e.g. airlines).
- Extra travel services may be subject to different payment requirements to be confirmed on quoting and/or booking.
- Full cancellation applies and there are no refunds or exchanges for unused services.
- Bookings will be automatically cancelled if payment terms are not met.
- Name changes are not permitted. Please supply names as per your Passport.
- If your package involves flights we require an emailed scan or photo of the photo page of all Passports.

How to Book
To book your 2019 Ashes Package, please complete a booking request form located to the top right of this page or found in the same position on subsequent package pages. Alternatively, you can get in touch by phone or email to make a direct booking with an Event Travel Expert.
Please note that the booking request form is disabled until packages go on sale Thursday 30 August, 2018 at 9:00am AEST.
Payment Requirements
50% Deposit: due no later than 3 days after receiving booking confirmation plus any airline taxes if/where applicable
25% Stage Payment: due no later than 10 Feb 2019
Balance Payment: due no later than 10 May 2019 plus any extra confirmed travel services that do not require earlier payment.
Payment Methods
We accept bank transfers (no fee) and credit card payments. Accepted credit cards include Visa, MasterCard (1.5% fee) and American Express (1.98% fee).
Travel Documents and Ticket Delivery
Travel documents (including event tickets, flight tickets, hotel vouchers and other applicable items) are sent at least two weeks before the event begins either by email, courier or registered post depending on the contents. In special circumstances, tickets may be made available via an official ticket collection centre or hotel drop-off. Finalised information will be provided closer to the event. If you have any special requests, please let us know in advance to ensure timely delivery.
