What’s on offer from Events Travel?
Australia is a diverse country, and one of the largest in the world. The mainland extends nearly 4,000km from West to East and 3,200km from North to South. Australia’s isolation from other continents means it is home to unique flora and fauna including hundreds of eucalyptus species and the only egg-laying mammals on earth – the platypus and echidna. Australia was first inhabited by Aboriginals, dating back to 60,000 years before European settlers arrived in 1788. The expansive country offers a variety of environments from arid deserts to tropical rainforests, coastal towns and metropolitan cities. While visiting, you can enjoy exploring the great outdoors from places like the Great Barrier Reef, Daintree Rainforest, Sydney Harbour, Outback Australia and the vast coastline and its beaches; or, visit capital cities to uncover sites and wonders from museums, botanical gardens and heritage buildings to world-famous icons like – Melbourne Crick Ground (MCG), Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House and Rottnest Island. You won’t be lost for things to do in Australia
It’s springtime in Australia during October and November, however, the weather will vary from state-to-state. In Hobart, you can expect an average high of 18C while in Brisbane the average temperature is around 28C. Australia Bureau of Meteorology (BoM) is the best source for weather forecasts. If you’re travelling to multiple states, pack a variety of clothes.

Events Travel’s COVID-19 Global Pandemic Statement
In these extraordinary times, we hope you are staying safe and well.
We are optimistic about travel opening up domestically in the next few months within Australia and travel to New Zealand permitted in September. After this, we expect travel to open within the Asia-Pacific region and globally by early 2021.
As such, our full range of packages, tours and services are now on sale for events taking place after 8 October 2020. In addition, events taking place in 2021 and 2022 are now on sale (such as The 150th Open Championship).
All events are pending Government travel restrictions, as well as general health and safety notices published by DFAT Smartraveller. If an event is cancelled, postponed or spectator free due to COVID-19, customers can choose to use their booking payments as credit to the rescheduled event or receive a full refund less a booking fee. This booking fee varies by event. Full details are available within our Booking Terms and Conditions.
We hope that this new policy provides you with reassurance and confidence when booking your sports travel experience with Events Travel.
If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact any of our team, who look forward to speaking with you soon.
