From 15 July to 7 August 2025 (20 nights), experience golf’s oldest major, hosted for only the third time outside mainland Great Britain, at the stunning Royal Portrush on the Causeway Coast. Stay in downtown Belfast during Open Week to witness the world’s best golfers compete for the elusive Claret Jug. While in Belfast, explore the city’s rich history and must-see attractions, including the famous Titanic Belfast museum. Enjoy a Saturday evening function with fellow attendees, daily breakfast, and sightseeing opportunities, including options for those not wanting to attend the golf.
After The Open, the tour continues across the Emerald Isle, visiting the Wild Atlantic Way, Galway, Killarney, Cork, and Dublin. Discover ancient history, stunning landscapes, and Ireland’s unique culture, with fine food, wine, and warm hospitality. This is not a play golf tour, it’s a spectators tour for golf enthusiasts and travellers wanting to explore Northern Ireland, Ireland and London with a small group of MCC Members. While there is a focus on attending The 153rd Open, there are no rounds of golf during the main MCC Member’s Tour. If you do want to play golf, we have options available before or during Open Week, please see more details above for those options or speak to our team. If swapping to a play golf option you will meet the main MCC Member’s Tour on Monday 21 July after The Open finishes, so please keep that in mind and you may be at a different hotel in Belfast.
This tour is available to book now and has limited capacity and will not be repeated.
The main MCC Member’s Tour has one departure starting 16 July in Dublin/Belfast and finishing 5 August in London. If those dates do not meet your needs, speak to our team about alternative options, we may be able to accommodate a later arrival or earlier departure and assist you with managing that. Or we do have other tours and packages to The Open for the general public, not private to the MCC.
We recommend all guests have moderate fitness and are able to walk medium distances unassisted. At The Open the course is hilly, grassy and subject to weather, so please ensure you can comfortably walk around a golf course at minimum. Additionally, attractions, historic cities, towns and villages have narrow paths, steps and uneven surfaces with no hand rails. If you have specific accessibility requirements please speak to our team to ensure we can accommodate.
