The Open 2021
After 161 years and 149 Open Championships, The Open returns to The Home of Golf, St Andrews, for the monumental 150th anniversary.
The Open 2021 will go down as one of the most historic golfing events of this generation. It will be played on The Old Course at St Andrews, where Zach Johnson was crowned Champion back in 2015 when The Open was last played here.
Johnson was triumphant after an intense four hole play-off against Louis Oosthuizen and Australia’s own Marc Leishman. St Andrews has had its fair share of dramatic Open Championship finishes and boasts an illustrious list of Champions including Jack Nicklaus, Peter Thomson, John Daly, Sir Nick Faldo and Tiger Woods to name a few.
The 150th Anniversary will be fiercely contended by the world’s best golfers; who will put on a show for a chance to etch their name onto the famous Claret Jug for this momentous occasion. And you can be there, watching the final moments; the calm, the focus, the tears and the triumph.
As an Authorised Provider, we are proud to present a full range of Official Travel Packages to The Open 2021. Packages include Official Tickets, Hospitality and accommodation options just a short walk from The Old Course in St Andrews, as well as in Edinburgh, Dundee and at Gleneagles. In addition, we are proud to offer guaranteed tee times on quality links courses in St Andrews, a really exclusive experience. Finally, to top it off, we have the Highlands Luxury Golf Tour playing some amazing courses including Royal Dornoch—twice!
As a full service travel company, we can personalise your travel experience with flights, transport, extra accommodation, sightseeing experiences and much more. Whether you’re travelling individually, with a few friends or as a larger group, we have something to suit. Please explore the brochure and speak to a Travel Expert to start your journey.
We very much look forward to welcoming you to St Andrews for the historic 150th Open Championship!

The Old Course, St Andrews
The Old Course at St Andrews is widely considered the oldest golf course in the world and commonly referred to as The Home of Golf. The public course is located in Fife, Scotland, around an hour north of Edinburgh, the capital. Fife is home to over 20 courses, primarily links style, but with some heathland courses. Golf was first played in the early 15th century at St Andrews. Today, St Andrews is a golfers paradise and beautifully combines the history of the sport with modern facilities.

What’s the difference between a Package and a Tour?
Packages are designed for independent travellers and are not escorted day-to-day by Events Travel staff. With a Package, you’re travelling on your own, but you may see the Events Travel Onsite Team at formal events, transfers or ticket collection points.
With a Tour, it’s the opposite and you will be escorted throughout the trip by a Tour Manager. Your Tour Manager is there to make sure the trip runs smoothly, to point you in the right direction and to make sure your needs are met. All our Tours are small-groups, intimate and with like-minded travellers.
Both Packages and Tours are carefully designed to balance event and destination experiences and are often themed, for example golf, gourmet or nature.
Can you book my flights?
Yes. We are an accredited IATA Agency and ticket your flights in-house, giving you access to the best available fares .
I have a corporate group, can you assist us?
Absolutely. We specialise in group travel, particularly corporate groups. Your group will have a dedicated Travel Expert on hand to assist your group from start to finish. Get in touch today.
I have a group, can you help us?
We provide travel for groups of any size (10, 50 or 100+) and can tailor our packages and services to suit specific groups needs. Get in touch to book a Group Package to The Open Championship.
What travel services do you offer?
We offer a full range of travel services, such as:
- Custom itineraries
- Group packages
- Travel insurance
When booking, ask us for a quote to add-on additional services to your package.
Can I extend my stay longer than your package dates?
Yes. We have contracted fantastic hotel rates for the event and adjacent dates before or after. Ask us for a quote to add extra nights to any package. We can provide accommodation elsewhere during your trip too.
Please note: Extra nights are subject to availability and are best booked as early as you can. Note that if you book at the same hotel via other means (e.g. a hotel booking site or direct) then you may not receive the same room for the duration of your stay. Ask us for a quote for extra nights when making your booking. Our extra night rates are very competitive.
