Events Travel provides travel packages to the biggest golf events in the world.

Join us at the 2020 Masters Tournament to watch the action live from Augusta.

At Events Travel, we have a sweet spot for The Masters. As passionate golfers, we know how challenging and rewarding the sport is and can empathise with the anticipation and pressure that players endure during Masters week when the sleepy town of Augusta is transformed into the epicentre of sport. Augusta National is golfing mecca; a pristine, calm and well-mannered environment that’s both inspiring and sincere. Don’t expect to come into the course with your phone, camera or endure vocal cheering, those unpleasantries are reserved for golfs other Majors. The camaraderie in Augusta is gentlemanly and chivalrous.

The Par-3 Tournament on Wednesday (where you can take photos), is the day Augusta shows its playful side with players using their families and children as caddies, taking hole-in-one pot-shots (there has been 94 over the years including nine in 2016). Moving into the tournament from Thursday and the jovial mood is brushed aside as players begin their campaign for the elusive Green Jacket and a place in golfing history. The US Masters is the only place to be in April if you’re serious about golf or after an unforgettable bucket-list experience.

The US Masters needs no further explanation. It’s the pinnacle of golf and one of those must-see events. It’s now your turn to experience the magic of Augusta National — trust Events Travel to help get you there.

The Course

Formerly a plant nursery, the course at Augusta National has each hole named after a tree or shrub. Most spectators will recognise Magnolia and Azalea, plants which are used throughout the course as well as names for buildings, roads and features. The course is incredible for spectators, with wide open fairways, treelined sections, dramatic over-water shots and well-placed grandstands for superb viewing. Across the course, you can place your Masters Chair down and return to it throughout the day. This is a great idea for the Sunday to ensure you secure a great position throughout the day.

Par-3 Contest

First introduced in 1960, it’s held every Wednesday on a purpose built nine-hole course with a par of 27 and 970m in length. There have been 94 holes-in-one with a record of nine in 2016. It’s fantastic day where golfers and celebrities bring their children as caddies to make it a family-friendly atmosphere.

Augusta, Georgia, USA

This sleepy town of around 200,000 residents doubles in population each April as domestic and international travellers come to experience magic of the US Masters. Located approximately two hours drive east of Atlanta and on the border of South Carolina, it’s a mild-climate destination with fantastic conditions for world-class golf courses. While the town of Augusta has a number of historic and cultural attractions, most visitors will end up hanging around Washington Road, walking distance from our accommodation and where there are a number of shops and roadside restaurants buzzing with the Masters atmosphere (we recommend making reservations and we can advise our top-picks). On our Escorted Package, we will be playing a round of golf nearby and if time allows we recommend exploring Aiken, a historic city in South Carolina, with charming Colonial architecture, wonderful golf courses, shops, galleries and restaurants.

Expect average highs of 25° and lows of 13°.

Rain is not expected. Typically days are quite mild with cold mornings.
