The Masters Tournament, commonly referred to as the US Masters, is the first of four golf majors held each year and is the only major held annually at the same course. The other majors are The Open Championship, the U.S. Open and the PGA Championship. The Masters takes place at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. It’s one of the most prestigious, iconic and traditional sporting events.

It’s the traditions, setting and reverence for the game, the players and the spectators that sets the US Masters apart. The action takes place at Augusta National, which is quite simply the most impeccable sporting venue on the planet. The straw is imported, the bird sounds come from speakers, the flowers are always in peak bloom, the fairways are seemingly hand-trimmed and there is no litter, no advertising, no running, no yelling, no phones and no cameras. There’s no price-gouging, no cheap gimmicks and nothing really that American about it. It’s an unusual concoction that makes for a pristine and wholesome spectating experience.
The Masters is without doubt one of the best sporting experiences on the planet and one you have to see for yourself. That’s where we step in.

What’s on offer from Events Travel?
Augusta is an eastern city in Georgia, near the border of South Carolina, in the south of the United States. The city is located on the banks of the Savannah River and is best known for hosting the Masters each year, as well as being soul singer James Brown’s home town. Downtown Augusta today celebrates its colourful past while being proud of its exciting present and southern charm. Augusta National is not in downtown Augusta, but it’s a great place to visit if you have a day off. Across the border in South Carolina is the charming town of Aiken, an equestrian community rich in historic charm and tradition. The postcard-perfect town is home to gardens, an iconic roadway of living oak trees, cute cafes, historic buildings and fabulous golf courses.
Augusta is a great stepping stone to explore the south including the Carolinas, New Orleans and Florida after your US Masters travel experience.
US Dollars
April in the US is Spring. Typically, during this time in Augusta, the weather is warm and pleasant. Not much rain is expected during Masters week. Just twice since 2010 has rain fallen during the tournament, 2013 and 2019. Mornings however can be cool and refreshing. Travellers should expect highs of 22°C and lows of 16°C with plenty of sunshine — perfect for golf spectating, playing and travelling.
