The Melbourne Cup Carnival has evolved into a celebration of culture, sport, fashion and food and wine. Four unique race days combine to create a week long festival with fun for the entire family and themes that make the experience on each race day unique and exciting.

AAMI Victoria Derby Day, Saturday 2 November 2019
|Considered one of the most prestigious days of racing in Australasia, featuring a card of nine Group races, four at the elite Group 1 level. The feature Group 1 AAMI Victoria Derby is Australia’s premier staying classic for three-year-olds. The fashion stakes are equally high with the commencement of the Myer Fashions on the Field competition. This is the day for classic elegance, which sets the pace for the entire week. Traditionally, black and white has been the prominent colour scheme for women, while men often chose to wear a grey morning suit, top hat, peacock vest and pin-stripe pants.|
Lexus Melbourne Cup Day, Tuesday 5 November 2019
|The Lexus Melbourne Cup Day is a truly spectacular event and the focal point of the 2018 Melbourne Cup Carnival. While most of Australia stops to watch or listen to the race, there’s nothing like being there amongst the 100,000 plus crowd to experience this true spectacle. The excitement slowly builds to its 3pm fever pitch when everything at the track comes to a stop for 200 heart-pounding seconds. Each year, a new chapter is written, a new legend is made and a new dream comes true as the winning connections take Australia’s most famous sporting trophy.|
Kennedy Oaks Day, Thursday 7 November 2019
|Known as the ultimate style day of the Carnival, and commonly referred to as ‘Ladies Day’, women of all ages come together dressed in their most feminine ensemble. The winner of the national competition of Myer Fashions on the Field is announced on Kennedy Oaks Day, reinforcing its importance on the fashion calendar. The racing highlight is the Group 1 Kennedy Oaks, the classic for three-year-old fillies over 2500m.|
VRC Stakes Day, Saturday 9 November 2019
|The Melbourne Cup Carnival concludes with VRC Stakes Day, featuring Victoria’s premier 1600m event, the Group 1 VRC Stakes. VRC Stakes Day is the fastest growing race day for the four day Carnival with crowds topping 80,000 in recent years. It is also recognised as the Carnival’s family day, with the focus on family fun and an abundance of free activities available for children.|

Where do I pick up my tickets?
Tickets will be sent to you at least two weeks before the event with your travel documentation. If you require these earlier or are not at your postal address at that time, we can arrange alternative delivery.
When do I receive my travel documents?
Travel documents (including event tickets, flight tickets, hotel vouchers and other applicable items) are sent at least two weeks prior to the event by email, courier or registered post. In special circumstances, documents and tickets may be made available via an official ticket collection centre or via a hotel drop-off. Finalised information will be provided to you closer to the event.
Can you book flights for me?
Yes, we are an IATA Agent and ticket flights directly in-house with access to the best available fares on all carriers. Ask us to add flights to your package.

Can I extend my stay longer than your package dates?
Yes. We have contracted fantastic hotel rates for the event and adjacent dates before or after. Ask us for a quote to add extra nights to any package. We can provide accommodation elsewhere during your trip too.
Please note: Extra nights are subject to availability and are best booked as early as you can. Note that if you book at the same hotel via other means (e.g. a hotel booking site or direct) then you may not receive the same room for the duration of your stay. Ask us for a quote for extra nights when making your booking. Our extra night rates are very competitive.

How to Book
- Deposit: 25% to confirm your package plus any upgrades in full.
- Balance: due by 2 August 2019.
We accept direct bank transfers and credit card payments. Accepted credit cards include Visa, MasterCard (1.5% fee) and American Express (1.98% fee). Payment information will be provided with your booking confirmation and invoice.
