Event overview

Since 1997, the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix has been held at the stunning Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, two hours south of Melbourne. It is here where wild ocean winds from Bass Strait meet the rolling coastal hills of Phillip Island, and where many historic MotoGP™ battles have taken place. After a two-year hiatus, the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix is back and will take place from 14-16 October, 2022. We would love for you to join us there.

  • Phillip Island’s rugged coastline can bring about unpredictable weather from Bass Strait. To keep comfortable, we recommend upgrading to a covered grandstand or a hospitality suite. The covered grandstands are: Doohan, Gardner Premium and Stoner.

What services are available with an Australian MotoGP™ 2022 package?

  • Event tickets: Official MotoGP™ tickets including grandstands and hospitality.
  • Flights: Add flights to any package or tour; whether domestic or international, in any class (economy, premium economy, business or first.) Flights are ticketed in-house at the best available fares (we’re IATA.) And we manage your flight itinerary from start to finish.
  • Accommodation: Whether you’re after a luxury hotel, boutique property or spacious apartment, we’ve got access to the best available rates and can provide recommendations and tips to suit your travel style. Extra nights and room upgrades are available for most packages as well.
  • Transport: Including airport to hotel transfers, rental cars and coaches. Available to individuals and groups, for simple and complex itineraries. We only use the best and most reliable transport suppliers.
  • Sightseeing: Often the best attractions sell out well in advance. If you have a must-see experience, it pays to book early. Add sightseeing tickets and multi-day experiences to any package or tour. We only use the best and most reliable tour operators.
  • Travel insurance: We recommend travel insurance for all trips big or small. We’ve partnered with Cover-More to offer comprehensive travel insurance policies at 15% off, so there’s no excuse to not be covered. Only available to Australian residents.

After World War II Melbourne expanded again due to immigration from southern Europe and the Mediterranean. Can I buy tickets by themselves?

As an official partner, we are only licensed to sell Island Passes and grandstand tickets as part of a travel package, including accommodation and travel services, with no individual sales permitted. However, we can sell hospitality tickets individually, without accommodation.

Are you official and what does that mean?

Yes, we are a proud official partner. This means we are authorised to sell travel packages to the event, use the event IP and have access to 100% guaranteed official tickets.

Can you explain the transfers from Melbourne?

If you select accommodation in Melbourne, daily track transfers are included for each day you hold a ticket for (2-days vs. 3-days). This service is run by Australian MotoGP™ with official coaches departing from Southern Cross Station to Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. More information to come with your Travel Documents.

Which grandstands are covered?

Doohan, Gardner Premium and Stoner Grandstands are the only covered grandstands.

Do you offer children pricing?

Children 14 years and under can enter the circuit free of charge if accompanied by an adult with an Island Pass (General Admission). However, children cannot enter a grandstand or a hospitality venue without the specific ticket.

Do you have helicopter transfers available?

Yes, we can book helicopter transfers to Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit from Moorabbin Airport or Melbourne City Helipad (opposite Crown Casino). Speak to us about pricing.

Can I change my booking once confirmed?

Once you confirm your booking, fundamental changes may not be possible, although this will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Changes to ticketing, such as substituting or removing tickets, may not be possible, but items like extra nights, flights and other services can be added to an existing booking at any time, as well as adding additional customers to your booking.

What are your COVID-19 Guarantees?

Our COVID-19 Guarantees cover you if the event is cancelled, postponed or held without spectators. If either circumstance arises, you’ll get a full refund (less a fixed nominal admin fee) or you can postpone your trip, or hold monies paid in credit to put towards a future booking with Events Travel.

  • Prices are listed per person in AUD.
  • Prices and availability are subject to change at any time.
  • All payments are non-refundable in case of cancellation (we strongly recommend all customers purchase travel insurance at the time of booking.)
  • Changes to bookings may incur amendment fees per change, plus any applicable fees from suppliers (e.g. airlines).
  • Extra travel services may be subject to different payment requirements to be confirmed on quoting.
  • Full cancellation applies.
  • There are no refunds for unused services.
  • Events Travel are IATA, ATAS and AFTA accredited and members of ASTA and IAGTO.
  • Images are used for marketing purposes only and are not a representation of the event or your actual travel experience, and are used as a comparative representation only.

Deposit: 20% (plus any upgrades in full)
Balance: 80% (due by 16 July 2022)

If you’re booking includes extra travel services, different payment terms may apply for those services.

Payment methods

We accept bank transfers, credit card payments and cheques. For domestic bank transfers to our Australian bank account there are no fees. For international bank transfers to our Australian bank account, there is a A$20 transaction fee. We accept payment via Visa and Mastercard with a 1.5% merchant fee. Payment instructions will provided with your invoice on booking.

COVID-19 Guarantees

If the event is cancelled, postponed or held without spectators, all customers will be able to change their booking to the following year without penalty, hold money paid as credit towards a future Events Travel booking or can choose to cancel and receive a full refund less a fixed A$95 pp administration fee. New packages offered may not be identical and other terms apply.

Travel insurance

We recommend all customers purchase travel insurance at the time of booking to cover the duration of their trip and for every trip whether domestic or international.

We recommend and can issue policies with Cover-More, but you can purchase a policy from any other provider you like, please be sure to check that the relevant PDS documents meet your needs prior to purchasing.

If you would like a quote from Cover-More, we need your departure/return travel dates and each travellers date of birth as well as any pre-existing medical conditions. After receiving this we will send you through a quote and more information for you to accept. After accepting we will send you an invoice to make payment and issue your policy with Cover-More. Please read through the Cover-More PDS documents available on request and for COVID-19 cover please see pages 72-80.
