Where The World Comes to Play
This is a special year for Events Travel. 2019 marks 25 years since we started helping fans travel to the world’s best events including the Hong Kong Sevens; the 23rd as an Official Travel Agent.
We hope you will join us in 2019 as we celebrate Rugby Sevens in Hong Kong.
The Hong Kong Sevens is the world’s biggest Rugby Sevens festival and one of our favourite annual events — anywhere. Hong Kong Stadium is jammed between the skyscrapers and lush mountains on Hong Kong Island and hosts 120,000 energetic fans over 3-days in Asia’s World City. This global event pulls crowds from all corners of the world and there’s many reasons why this event shines so bright.
Hong Kong’s dramatic landscape features sprawling buildings and lush green spaces with stunning Victoria Harbour separating Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. Travellers will enjoy world-class shopping, dining and nightlife with more intrepid travellers able to enjoy hidden scenic hikes, beautiful beaches, markets and an amazing food scene.
At the Hong Kong Sevens, the rugby is fast and exciting with short matches, many scoring opportunities and quick turnovers. If you haven’t been before, the South Stand has a strong reputation as the most ‘energetic’, with dress ups, sing alongs and antics providing entertainment for those within and those looking on. Hong Kong is renowned for entertainment and nightlife, with many pubs, clubs, restaurants and attractions just a short walk from the stadium. Throw in world-class entertainment from the likes of Madness, The Village People and The Beach Boys and you have one of the few events that never gets old!
As an Official Travel Agent, we can help you get to the Hong Kong Sevens with Official Travel Packages including guaranteed tickets, accommodation and other services such as flights and fully customised itineraries. We have hand-chosen our hotels for convenience, comfort and quality from budget all the way to the best 5-star options available.
We hope you’ll join us for the next edition of the Hong Kong Sevens in 2019.
Mount Panorama Circuit
Originally constructed in 1938 as a scenic tourist drive, Mount Panorama has hosted all types of motorsport including the world famous Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000, the annual 12 Hour GT race, 24 Hour endurance races and the Easter motorcycle meetings.
The circuit is a public road on non-race weekends and has also hosted the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix in the past. It remains one of the all-time favourite circuits for Supercars drivers and is ranked among the great race tracks of the world.

Seven different drivers – Garth Tander, Mark Winterbottom, Greg Murphy, Will Davison, Jamie Whincup, Shane van Gisbergen and David Reynolds – have taken the last seven Bathurst 1000 pole positions.
All drivers compete for the Peter Brock trophy at Bathurst, though since its inception in 2006 the trophy has been the exclusive domain of three teams: Triple Eight Race Engineering, Holden Racing Team and Prodrive Racing Australia.
Triple Eight Race Engineering have six wins (2006, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2015), while HRT (2009, 2011) and PRA (2013, 2014) have two apiece since the trophy was created following the death of the nine-time race winner Brock in September 2006.

Your Host City: HONG KONG
Hong Kong is a modern metropolis built on the framework of an ancient city. At the intersection of cultures, it’s vibrant and bustling; a city where fortunes are made, lost and enjoyed. Visitors to Hong Kong will be surprised by the density of buildings and apartments jammed between deep harbours and dark green mountains. On those mountains, hikers enjoy dense rainforest vegetation with amazing bird-life and stunning vistas across the cityscapes and sea-side towns. Hong Kong Island is surrounded by Victoria Harbour and the South China Sea; dotted with islands and ships.
In the city, step through secret doorways to cool hang-outs, tasteful bars and trendy eateries. The cheapest Michelin Star restaurant in the world can be found in North Point specialising in Dim Sum, or visit the Mandarin Oriental, offering three Michelin Star restaurants, the most of any hotel in the world. Night-owls will be in their element with many bars, nightclubs and rooftop terraces available across the city that open all night. For Sevens fans, the top nightlife spots can be found in Wan Chai and Lan Kwai Fong where bars spill onto the street, amplified when Rugby Sevens fans come to town creating a unique festival-like atmosphere across the island.
To explore more of the city, take the Star Ferry across to Kowloon, where the shopping never stops and explore museums and markets that specialise in flowers, clothes and all things bizarre. Everywhere you turn in Hong Kong you will be surprised by what comes next.
- See if from the peak and take the Peak Tram to the top of Victoria Peak for amazing city views.
- Experience Water Buffalo on Cheung Sha beach, an escape from the busy city and a unique sight.
- Go local and hike out to the rock pools of Man Cheung Po, or go beachside at Stanley before a drink at the Smugglers Inn.
- Meet the Big Buddha, a 34 metre high statue near Po Lin Monastery, where monks devout their lives to Buddhism.
- Learn about Hong Kong’s rich and colourful past at the Hong Kong Museum of History.
- Get lost in Kowloon’s vibrant markets. Explore the Bird Market, Ladies Market, Flower Market or Goldfish market.
- Dine with the locals at the Lin Heung Tea House which first opened in 1926 offering a range of Chinese dishes.
- Soak up the atmosphere at one of the cities rooftop bars. Try Sevva in Central, across from the ‘Symphony of Lights’ laser show with live jazz playing late into the night.
- Float away in a Chinese junk boat across Victoria Harbour with champagne at dusk or take the ferry to Macau to try your hand at your own fortune.
