Australian Open 2021
Experience the Grand Slam of Asia Pacific this January and watch the world’s biggest tennis superstars up close in Melbourne
The Australian Open is Australia’s most loved sporting event and the biggest of the four Grand Slams of tennis. The hugely popular event takes place each January and has evolved into a two-week long celebration of tennis, hospitality and entertainment that thrills and delights locals and travellers from around the globe.
The AO is unlike any other sporting event on the planet, and we’ve seen most. Each year it’s reinvented with incredible culinary offerings from world-renowned Melbourne restaurants and celebrity chefs, dazzling hospitality experiences, entertainment for the entire family and world-class facilities and activations that bring fans closer to the on-court action. Many of the top players cite Melbourne Park and the facilities as the best in the world and that’s proven through the engagement between players and fans throughout the tournament.
The Australian Open is an event where you can see your favourite players up close and personal during the first week, while in the second week you can watch breathtaking performances as players move through the tournament to the final rounds that take place on the world renowned Rod Laver Arena.
Tennis action aside, Melbourne is the perfect host city, often claiming title of the world’s most livable city and Australia’s sporting capital. Melbourne has a lot to offer from world-class shopping and restaurants to galleries, gardens, beaches, art-filled laneways and inspiring museums. If you venture out of the city, you will find world-class wine regions, stunning national parks and breathtaking coastal drives under a few hours from the city.
At Events Travel, we have been helping fans experience the Australian Open with our Official Packages since 1995 and were a founding partner of the Official Tour Operator program back in 1997. As an Official Tour Operator, we provide Official Travel Packages including Tickets and Hospitality with some of the best seats available in the major arenas. As a full service travel company, we put together great value packages including all the services you need to enjoy your travel experience such as flights, hotels, transport, sightseeing and more.
Whether you’re a first-timer to Australian Open or a veteran, we look forward to providing you with an exceptional Australian Open 2021 travel experience.

How do I make a booking?
Speak to a Travel Expert to start your journey.
What ticket types are available?
We have Official Tickets from all categories including Ground Passes (access to Melbourne Park, outer courts and show courts) and reserved Rod Laver Arena Tickets (all categories). In addition, we have Margaret Court Arena Tickets, John Cain Arena Tickets and Official Hospitality Packages
Can I purchase tickets by themselves?
As an Official Tour Operator for Tennis Australia and Australian Open, we primarily provide Official Travel Packages and do not sell Grounds Passes or Reserved Tickets individually without a package. However, we do sell Official Hospitality Packages individually, which are great for Melbourne locals and companies. Ask us about pricing.
Can my Travel Agent book with you?
Absolutely. We work with registered Travel Agents around the world. You are welcome to refer your Travel Agent to book on your behalf and we can liaise with them directly for you.
Can I choose a different hotel?
Yes, we can provide accommodation anywhere throughout your trip. We can provide our recommendations or if you have a particular property in mind, let us know and we’ll book that hotel for you (subject to availability).
Do I need travel insurance?
In short, yes. We recommend travel insurance for every trip, big or small. That’s why we’ve partnered with CHI to offer travel insurance and have included a 15% off base policy discount for Australian residents. Plus, our Travel Experts can help choose the right policy for you. We recommend purchasing a policy at the time of booking to cover the duration of your trip.
Can I change my Australian Open 2021 Package after booking?
Changes are typically not possible after making a booking, however we do assess changes on a case by case basis, depending on what is involved. Upgrades, extra nights or additions to a package are generally possible, subject to availability. We recommend adding extra nights and upgrades at the time of booking to ensure availability.
Are you an Official Travel Agent?
Events Travel is a proud long-standing Official Tour Operator for Australian Open and Tennis Australia. We have direct access to Official Tickets and are authorised to sell travel to Australian Open and other Tennis Australia events.
Why should I travel with you?
We have been pioneering sports travel around the world since 1993. We have helped tens of thousands of travellers experience many of modern sports most historic moments. Not only are our team extremely experienced, but we are passionate about helping fans get the most from their travel experience, something we hope to do for you.
By choosing us as your travel partner, it means you have access to Official Tickets and are not supporting the secondary or black markets, which is a risky way to enjoy an event. On top of this, we are fully accredited with AFTA, ATAS and other organisations.
Finally, almost three decades of creating unforgettable travel experiences says it all. We look forward to warmly welcoming you to Australian Open 2021!
Do you have customer reviews?
Yes. We have partnered with Trustpilot to collect verified third party reviews, the most trusted way to collect real and unfiltered reviews. At the time of writing we have over 200 x 5-star reviews. See reviews.
Do you have Hospitality available?
Yes. Hospitality can be added to any Australian Open Package or purchased individually on request. Availability is limited.
What’s the difference between a Package and a Tour?
Packages are designed for independent travellers and are not escorted day-to-day by Events Travel staff. With a package, you’re travelling on your own, but you may see Events Travel staff at formal events, transfers or ticket collection centres (if applicable).
With a Tour, it’s the opposite and you will be escorted throughout your trip by a Tour Manage who are there to manage the group and to make sure everything happens smoothly. All our Tours are designed for small-groups and balance event experiences, destinations and are often themed, for example, golf, gourmet or nature. Tours are a great option to travel with like- minded people. Sit back and relax, knowing everything is taken care of.
Can you book my flights?
Yes. We are an accredited IATA Agency and ticket your flights in-house, giving you access to the best available fares.
I have a corporate group, can you assist us?
Absolutely. We have dedicated Group Travel Experts on hand to take care of your group from start to finish, with all the services you need. Get in touch to start your journey.
I have a group, can you help us?
We provide travel for groups of any size (10, 50 or 100+) and can tailor our packages and services to suit specific groups needs. Get in touch to book a Group Package to Australian Open 2021.
What travel services do you offer?
We offer a full range of travel services, such as:
- Custom itineraries
- Group packages
- Travel insurance
When booking, ask us for a quote to add-on additional services to your AO 2021 Package.
Can I extend my stay longer than your package dates?
Yes. We have contracted fantastic hotel rates for the event and adjacent dates before or after. Ask us for a quote to add extra nights to any package. We can provide accommodation elsewhere during your trip too.
Please note: Extra nights are subject to availability and are best booked as early as you can. Note that if you book at the same hotel via other means (e.g. a hotel booking site or direct) then you may not receive the same room for the duration of your stay. Ask us for a quote for extra nights when making your booking. Our extra night rates are very competitive.
