Experience the final Grand Slam of the year in Flushing Meadows, New York
The US Open is the ‘fun Grand Slam’ and in contrast to the ancient traditions at Wimbledon and the reserved French ambience at Roland Garros, the US Open is very American—in a good way! Fans cheer and sing to loud music played over speakers and players engage and embrace with the crowd. This makes the packed courts feel energetic and lively, while creating a festival-like atmosphere that’s fun and welcoming.

New York is one of the world’s most iconic cities. When one thinks of New York, they conjure up images of architectural skyscrapers, yellow cabs, hip museums, dazzling street corners, hustle and bustle. New York is all of these things and more. New York is a mesmerising city that needs to be embraced to be truly understood. It’s a busy place sure, but if you look close enough, you can find calm within the mass of grey concrete. New York is known for arts, including The Met, MoMA and Guggenheim, with plenty of smaller art galleries and shows on year-round that offer a glimpse into current and future trends. Then there’s famous landmarks, too numerous to name, and historic places that capture the imagination and zeitgeist of the ever-evolving city. Whether you’re into sports, fashion, history, galleries, celebrity spotting, finance, gastronomy, entertainment, broadway or any other discipline you can think of, New York has something for you. Some of our favourite places to spend time include Central Park, The Highline, Madison Square Garden, Rockerfeller Center, Guggenheim and the Flatiron. By night, head to roof top bars or underground jazz clubs to experience the city that never sleeps.
If you’re staying a while we recommend exploring Brooklyn, Staten Island and Long Island, with a trip to the beaches of The Hamptons an enjoyable day-out. Ultimately, New York has something for everyone, it’s up to you to get the most out of it. Visitors should choose where they stay wisely, because there’s a lot to see and do and it takes a while to traverse around town, a lot longer than you think. Our Travel Experts are on hand to ensure that your New York experience is just right for you.
