Smartraveller advises that if you incur medical expenses overseas and you do not have travel insurance, you are personally liable to cover the costs. Medicare and private health insurance from domestic providers does not cover overseas medical expenses. We recommend purchasing a policy for any and every trip.
You should have a policy for every instance you travel, regardless of the destination. Policies can be purchased specifically for high risk activities such as skiing and horse-riding. Travel Insurance can be used to cover financial default and you can purchase policies to cover single or multi trips. We have a huge array of options from CHI and QBE for every circumstances.
Should your circumstances take a turn for the worse, you need to know you are covered. We use CHI and QBE as preferred suppliers. We can also offer our clients a 15% rebate with CHI or QBE.
We strongly recommend choosing a policy that includes; personal liability, cancellation, loss of personal effects, as a minimum.
