Over three days, thirteen teams of four compete fiercely through quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals. Each team begins simultaneously in a shotgun start, adding to the excitement as they vie for both team and individual points—and significant prize money. These points contribute to the season’s ultimate titles: Individual Champion and Team Championship.

The format features stroke play, with each player’s score contributing to individual rankings, while team scores are calculated from the top three players’ results per round. The objective is straightforward: the team with the lowest cumulative score claims victory.

Located just 25 minutes from downtown Adelaide and near Grand Beach, The Grange Golf Club is a stunning venue. Adelaide’s central location makes it easily accessible—an hour’s flight from Melbourne, two from Sydney, and under three hours from Perth and Brisbane. In a landmark announcement, Premier Peter Malinauskas confirmed that Adelaide will remain the exclusive home of LIV Golf in Australia through 2031. As part of this commitment, a world-class championship course will be developed at North Adelaide Golf Course, with legendary golfer Greg Norman leading the design. Theambitious redevelopment will transform the existing layout into a premier tournament venue, featuring a challenging new routing, enhanced spectator viewing areas, and state-of-the-art facilities to elevate the fan experience. Set to become the home of LIV Golf Australia from 2028 onwards, this investment solidifies Adelaide as a global golfing destination and ensures an even more dynamic and immersive experience for players and fans alike.

• The event takes place over 3 days with 54 holes of stroke play.
• There are 54 players competing, including 13 teams of 4 players each, plus 2 wild card players.
• The tournament uses a shotgun start, meaning all players begin simultaneously on different holes.
• Players compete for both individual and team titles.
• In the individual competition, players accumulate points based on their finishing position, contributing to the season-long individual championship.
• For the team competition, the top 3 scores from each team count for the first two rounds, while all 4 scores count in the final round.
• There is no cut, so all players compete for all 3 rounds
• The format is designed for shorter playing windows and faster-paced action.

Climate

In February, Adelaide typically enjoys warm summer weather with average daytime temperatures around 25.6°C (78.1°F) and lows around 17.6°C (63.7°F). It’s generally dry, with only about 18mm of rainfall spread across a few days, so rain is infrequent. Sunshine is plentiful, with around 9 hours per day, and daylight lasts for over 13 hours. The average sea temperature is around 20°C (68°F). This makes February a great time to explore the city and enjoy outdoor activities.

The Grange Golf Club, Adelaide

Lying close to the ocean and not far from central Adelaide, the Grange Golf Club frequently features in lists of Australia’s top golf courses.

The course, redesigned in recent years by LIV Golf Commissioner & CEO Greg Norman, plays to every inch of its 6,840 yards and presents a stiff test for even the finest golfers – as we’re about to see.

The firm and fast greens demand the utmost precision and could play into the hands of local hero Cam Smith, renowned as one of the best putters in the world. The players that move best on the dance floor and revel in theamazing Aussie atmosphere are likely to prevail.

Getting from your hotel to the course

Fans can travel free and easily all day with a valid event ticket on all regular Adelaide Metro bus, train and tram services.

Dedicated LIV Golf city bus shuttles will also run across the weekend. The city bus shuttles will run between the Adelaide CBD and The Grange Golf Club, servicing key bus stops near city hotels between 8:30am and 8pm, after the LIV Golf concert each day.

Additionally, a dedicated Park ’n’ Ride shuttle will run from Titanium Stadium, Findon as well as a shuttle service from Woodville Railway Station to The Grange Golf Club between 8:30am and 8pm.
