Your Rugby World Cup 2027 Australia travel experience starts here.
The excitement is building as Australia prepares to host the 11th edition of Rugby World Cup in 2027. Australia will become the first nation to host the tournament three times, having previously co-hosted with New Zealand in 1987 and hosted exclusively in 2003.
Rugby World Cup 2027 is the centrepiece of a golden decade for rugby in Australia. The action kicks off with the British & Irish Lions Tour in 2025, followed by the men’s Rugby World Cup in 2027, the women’s Rugby World Cup in 2029, and the Olympics in 2032. In between, fans can look forward to a full calendar of international fixtures and tours.
Wallabies legend George Gregan captured the excitement, reflecting on Australia’s proud hosting history and the opportunity ahead:
“Australia is the perfect host nation for Rugby World Cup 2027. Our diverse country is home to vibrant cities, picturesque coasts, lush hinterlands, ancient deserts and rich cultural experiences that will entice visitors from around the world. Add in unique attractions, world-class cuisine, fine wines and endless adventure, and the next Rugby World Cup promises to be the best yet. It’s also the perfect opportunity for Australians to explore their own backyard and support their team, whether it’s the Wallabies or another nation on the global stage.”
