Hotels
Many hotels in the UK are set within historic buildings. This often adds charm and character but can also mean that rooms vary in size, shape, and layout—even within the same category. Features such as air conditioning, elevators, and modern amenities may be limited or differ between hotels. If you have specific requirements, please let us know prior to booking so we can advise on the most suitable options.
The published itinerary is a guide only and remains subject to change due to operational requirements, weather, venue availability, or other circumstances beyond our control. While every effort will be made to follow the itinerary as described, Events Travel reserves the right to amend, substitute, or vary the order of activities without prior notice to ensure the best possible tour experience.
Hotel information, descriptions, and images are provided for reference only and are sourced from official hotel websites or suppliers. Amenities, facilities, and features are subject to change without notice. For the most up-to-date information, please refer directly to the hotel’s official website or contact our team. All hotels are subject to change in the final itinerary; if a listed hotel becomes unavailable, a hotel of an equivalent or higher standard will be offered in its place (“or similar”).
All Events Travel escorted tours are subject to a minimum number of passengers in order to proceed. The minimum number required for each tour will vary and is determined by Events Travel in its sole discretion.
If the minimum number is not met by a specified cut-off date, Events Travel reserves the right to cancel the tour. In such circumstances, Events Travel will notify affected customers in writing and provide the following options:
Important notice: You are strongly advised not to make any non-refundable or non-changeable travel arrangements (including flights, accommodation or other related bookings) until Events Travel has confirmed that the tour has reached minimum numbers and is proceeding as scheduled.
Events Travel will not be liable for any losses, costs or expenses (including cancellation or change fees) you incur as a result of a tour being cancelled, rescheduled or materially altered due to minimum numbers not being met.

In the early evening, rejoin your group for the exclusive Links & Drinks rooftop function, featuring a welcome drink, additional beverages, roaming canapés and live music inspired by Liverpool’s rich musical heritage — all set against sweeping city views.
Today is “moving day” at The Open — when players rise up the leaderboard or fall away. Feel the tension and excitement as the championship builds toward its climax. After returning to Liverpool, the evening is yours to explore the city’s nightlife, perhaps with a visit to the Cavern Quarter or a riverside dinner.
The Final Round of The Open awaits. Witness the drama, tension and crowning of the Champion Golfer of the Year. Celebrate back in Liverpool this evening with your fellow travellers, sharing memories of an unforgettable championship.

Continue to your hotel overlooking the lake and enjoy a free evening to soak in the natural beauty of the region.
Today, explore the Lake District in depth. Visit Dove Cottage and the Wordsworth Museum to learn about the life and poetry of William Wordsworth. Sample the famous Grasmere Gingerbread at a local bakery and ride the nostalgic Lakeside to Haverthwaite Steam Railway. The evening is at leisure — perhaps dine in a cosy local pub or enjoy the facilities of your lakeside hotel.
Journey north into Scotland for your special stay at the 5-star Fairmont St Andrews, set on a clifftop overlooking the North Sea. En route, enjoy a two-course group lunch (drinks on own account) in St Andrews followed by a guided walking tour including St Andrews Castle admission. Enjoy a tour and tasting at Kingsbarns Distillery, then a two-course group lunch in the nearby seaside town of Elie (drinks on own account). Return to your resort for an evening at leisure.
This morning, stop in Dundee with free time to explore at leisure — perhaps visit the V&A Dundee or stroll the revitalised waterfront. Continue to Newburgh for a whisky tour and tasting at Lindores Abbey Distillery, the spiritual home of Scotch whisky. In the afternoon, journey to Pitlochry and settle into your Highland hotel.
Today visit Balmoral Castle, the Scottish residence of the Royal Family, with admission to the gardens, grounds and ballroom. Afterwards, head to Aberdeen for a guided walking tour of this historic granite city. Return to Pitlochry for a relaxing evening in the Highlands.
