  • Good to know

    • First week packages: If you want to see your favourite players up close, we recommend a first week package. This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the best of Melbourne Park, where both seeded and non-seeded players can be seen on the outer courts and warm-up courts, accessible with a Grounds Pass or reserved tickets for Rod Laver Arena (RLA) or Margaret Court Arena (MCA).
    • Second week packages: The second week is where the biggest matches take place, and a Rod Laver Arena ticket is a must to catch all the action from singles and doubles finals.
    • Day vs. Night Sessions:
      • Day Session tickets (RLA or MCA): Once the session concludes, you can stay in Melbourne Park to enjoy the evening festivities and matches on the outer courts.
      • Night Session tickets: Entry begins after approximately 5:00 pm. If you want to explore Melbourne Park earlier in the day, consider adding a Grounds Pass to your package.
    • Ticket access:
      • Grounds Passes: Access to Melbourne Park, including outer courts and warm-up courts.

Frequently asked questions

  • When is Australian Open 2026?

The official dates for Australian Open 2026 are yet to be announced. Based on previous years, the tournament is expected to run from Sunday, 18 January 2026, to Sunday, 1 February 2026, spanning two action-packed weeks of tennis.

Stay tuned for the official date announcement, expected in January 2025.

  • Where is Australian Open 2026?

Australian Open 2026 will take place at Melbourne Park in Melbourne, Australia’s sporting capital. Melbourne Park features three iconic main courts: Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, and Melbourne Arena, along with numerous outer courts, warm-up courts, and world-class tennis and entertainment facilities.

  • When do Australian Open 2026 tickets and packages go on sale?

Australian Open 2026 tickets are expected to go on sale to the General Public in October 2025.

However, Australian Open 2026 packages from Official Travel Agents, like Events Travel, will be available much earlier—in February 2025, shortly after the conclusion of the Australian Open 2025.

Booking an official travel package is the best way to secure Australian Open 2026 tickets early, ahead of the General Public sale. These packages offer exclusive access to tickets, hotels, flights, and other travel services at the best prices, allowing you to plan your trip in advance—ideal for those travelling interstate or internationally to AO 2026.

  • How can I buy Australian Open 2026 tickets?

There are two ways to buy official Australian Open 2026 tickets:

    1. General Public Sale: Tickets for the General Public typically go on sale in October, just a few months before the event. However, availability is often limited, particularly for lower bowl seating. Ticket prices may vary dynamically, and securing tickets for groups or multiple days can be challenging.
    2. Official Travel Packages: Packages with official tickets are available much earlier through Official Travel Agents like Events Travel—typically right after the previous year’s event. These packages let fans secure tickets early, making it easier to plan a trip to AO, whether travelling interstate or internationally. They’re perfect for groups, offering the flexibility to secure the tickets and experiences you want, along with additional travel services such as accommodation, flights, transport, and more.
  • What types of Australian Open 2026 packages are available?

While our Australian Open 2026 packages are still coming soon, here’s an overview of what you can expect:

    • Rod Laver Arena and Margaret Court Arena packages: Including official tickets for Rod Laver Arena or Margaret Court Arena across the first week, second week, or for key matches such as quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals.
    • Grounds Passes packages: Including official Grounds Passes, offering access to outer courts and general areas for the first week or second week.
    • AO Reserve Hospitality packages: Including access to official hospitality, offering a premium dining and entertainment experience across the first week, second week, or for key matches such as quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals.
    • Custom packages: Build your own experience with the flexibility to choose any ticket and accommodation options for the entire tournament, first week, second week, or both.
    • Client services: Packages can include official tickets, accommodation, flights, merchandise, transport, sightseeing tours, activities, and travel insurance.

Whether you’re after a short stay to get a taste of AO or planning an extended visit to fully immerse yourself in the action, we have a package to suit your needs.

  • Are you an official partner of Australian Open?

Yes, Events Travel is the longest-running Official Travel Agent for the Australian Open, since 1997. We’ve been helping fans experience the excitement of the Australian Open since 1994.

  • Do I need a Grounds Pass if I have a Rod Laver Arena ticket?

Generally, no—but there are cases where you might want both. Here’s why:

A Grounds Pass gives you access to Melbourne Park, allowing you to explore the entire precinct, including:

    • Outer courts and warm-up courts
    • Food and drink outlets and Garden Square
    • Brand activations
    • Entertainment stages
    • Melbourne Arena and other non-reserved arenas

However, a Grounds Pass does not include access to Rod Laver Arena (RLA) or Margaret Court Arena (MCA), as these require reserved seat tickets.

If you have a Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena, or AO Reserve Hospitality ticket:

    • You get access to Melbourne Park and your reserved seat in RLA or MCA for your session (Day, Night, or Twilight).

    Day Session tickets:

    • After the session ends, you can stay in Melbourne Park to enjoy Melbourne Arena, outer courts, and other attractions.

    Night Session tickets:

    • Entry to Melbourne Park begins around 5 pm (earlier for Twilight sessions).
    • If you want to explore Melbourne Park earlier in the day to catch more tennis, you’ll need to purchase a Grounds Pass for daytime entry.

Note: If you have a Day Session ticket, you do not need an extra Grounds Pass unless you leave Melbourne Park and plan to re-enter in the evening.

Our team will guide you on ensuring you have the right tickets to not double up.

  • Can I buy Australian Open 2026 tickets by themselves?

As an Official Travel Agent, we are unable to sell Grounds Passes or reserved tickets for Rod Laver Arena or Margaret Court Arena on their own. These tickets are only available as part of a travel package, which includes accommodation and other services.

However, we can sell AO Reserve Hospitality tickets separately—perfect for Melbourne or Victorian residents who don’t require accommodation.

  • What Australian Open 2026 corporate options do you have?

If you’re looking to entertain clients, colleagues, friends, or family, Australian Open 2026 hospitality packages will be available through AO Reserve.

These options can be added as upgrades to any of our packages. If you’re a Melbourne or Victorian local, you can also purchase AO Reserve tickets on their own directly from us.

    Expect premium experiences such as:

    • Exclusive dining options with entertainment
    • Access to luxury lounges and VIP areas
    • Rod Laver Arena Suites with private seating, offering spectacular court views for small to medium-sized groups.

More information about Australian Open 2026 hospitality options will be available soon.

  • Where is the best place to stay for Australian Open 2026?

Melbourne Park, home of the Australian Open, is conveniently located southeast of Melbourne’s CBD along the Yarra River. As Australia’s sporting capital, Melbourne offers easy access to Melbourne Park, whether on foot from the CBD or via the free tram service, with two tram stops directly servicing the venue during AO.

We offer a range of strategically located accommodation options:

    • Near Melbourne Park: Perfect for families and those looking to avoid the CBD hustle and bustle, with options just a few hundred metres from the venue.
    • Within Melbourne CBD: Stay close to the action with accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets, including:
      • Great value 4-star hotels
      • Luxurious 5-star properties
      • Spacious apartments with kitchens—ideal for longer stays, families, and groups.

Most of our hotels are a short walk or a quick, free tram ride away from Melbourne Park. Our expert team will be on hand to help you choose the perfect property for your stay.

  • How can I guarantee seats in the shade on Rod Laver Arena or Margaret Court Arena?

Our expert team is here to help you select the best tickets and ensure you’re seated in the shade on Rod Laver Arena or Margaret Court Arena. Seating maps with shaded sections will be available to help identify areas with shade versus sun.

    Recommendations for shaded seats:

    • Day Sessions:
      • Choose seats on the baseline in either the upper or lower bowl for guaranteed shade.
    • Night Sessions:
      • Sideline seats are fine for shade, but those on the eastern side of the stadium may experience some sun during the early evening as it sets. Once the sun dips behind the stadium, these seats will also be shaded.

If in doubt, we recommend opting for baseline seats, which offer consistent shade throughout the day. All our packages include Upper Baseline seating, located in the front part of the upper bowl with excellent views down the court—an ideal combination of comfort and perspective.

    Ticket upgrades and downgrades:

    • Upgrades: Lower Bowl baseline seats for an enhanced experience.
    • Downgrades: Back sections of the Upper Bowl on either the baseline or sideline for a more economical option.

Whatever your preference, our team will ensure you have the best seating experience for you at Australian Open 2026.
