1. Length and Layout: The circuit is 6.2 kilometers (approximately 3.85 miles) long and includes 17 corners. It is a street circuit that weaves through the heart of Las Vegas, incorporating both high-speed sections and challenging corners.
2. Straight Sections: One of the most notable features of the track is its 2-kilometer (1.2 miles) straight along the Las Vegas Strip. This section allows the cars to reach top speeds of up to 217 mph (350 km/h), making it one of the fastest sections in Formula 1.
3. High-Speed Corners and Overtaking Opportunities: The track includes several high-speed corners and three main straight sections. These straights and the wide track design, with widths ranging from 12 to 15 meters, provideample opportunities for overtaking.
4. Unique Turns and Layout: The circuit features a combination of technical corners, including a high-speed corner sequence and a chicane, designed to test driver skill and car performance. The layout includes iconic landmarks and requires precise handling through its tight sections.
5. Surface and Construction: The streets used for the circuit are resurfaced specifically for the race to ensure a smooth and consistent surface. This helps to mitigate the typical bumpiness of city streets, providing a better racing experience and maintaining high speeds safely.
6. Designed by Experts: The track was designed by Tilke GmbH, a company renowned for creating many modern F1 circuits. The design process included 31 different layout variations before finalising the current configuration, ensuring an optimal balance of speed, challenge, and safety.

Climate

In November, Las Vegas experiences mild and pleasant weather, making it an ideal time to visit. Daytime temperatures typically range from 18°C to 20°C (64°F to 68°F), while nighttime temperatures can drop to around 8°C (46°F). Generally rain is not expected during the race weekend November. It is however a night race, where temperatures can drop, so we recommend packing a few layers or jacket for the evening.
