Your 2025 Masters travel experience starts here.

There’s nothing quite like the Masters. A magnolia lined avenue leads to a Southern-style clubhouse. Within, tree-lined fairways unfold alongside pervasive water hazards. Groomed bunkers are guarded by cordial officials with bird songs playing from speakers. There’s no vulgar advertising, or any really, and the food and drinks are very fairly priced. Then there’s the many unique traditions. The winners Green Jacket, Champions Dinner and famed Par-3 contest are merely a start. It’s a true bucket-list event and an unforgettable spectacle you have to do at least once. The Masters is the first annual golf major of the year and highly anticipated by players and fans alike.

We’ve been helping fans travel to Augusta for the Masters for over 20 years. Our travel packages and golf tours are on sale now for the 2025 Masters Tournament. Packages include guaranteed Masters Tickets (Masters Badges), walking distance hotels, course transport, Managers Reception and more. We also have an escorted Masters Golf Tour playing The Reserve Club and Palmetto, two historic courses in nearby Aiken (the latter is proudly the second oldest course in the US). Enhance your Masters experience further with extra nights, flights, airport transfers, travel insurance and extensions throughout the United States. There’s even a pre/post Masters Golf Tour heading to TPC Sawgrass and Pebble Beach if you feel like following in the footsteps of champions. If you’re looking for something special, our team can put together a bespoke package, so you can enjoy the Masters experience that’s right for you.

  • Introduction

The Masters is in a league of it’s own

Putting traditions, facts and details aside about the Masters, actually visiting is both a dream and a reality for a lucky few. Journey half-way across the world, flying into Atlanta or another US city. Arrive to an airport transfer or rent a car and drive two and a half hours to Augusta, Georgia in America’s south.

On arrival you will be probably not be charmed. Augusta National is 15 minutes from downtown Augusta in a rather nondescript suburban setting. Surrounded by modest homes, roadside restaurants and motels, only the fans, John Daly’s RV and temporary signs allude to something big happening nearby. Or you might have noticed the private jets circling the regional airport. Augusta National is in a strange location, but that doesn’t matter at all.

Once you enter the manicured course at Augusta National, you’ll feel the energy and excitement, it’s palpable. And you’ll see fans from all corners of the globe. Everyone is equal, all golf lovers and all have travelled a good distance to be there. And only once you arrive can you feel why it’s worth it. That’s where the traditions, attention to detail and history culminates in one of sports most iconic events. The players know it, the officials know it and so do the fans. The Masters can do no wrong and it’s really something you need to see for yourself. Whether you choose one of our weekend packages or fancy a round or two with our Masters Golf Tour, you’ll enjoy an experience unlike anything else in Augusta, Georgia. Forget luxury hotels, forget fancy hospitality suites, it’s all about walking the course, understanding the layout and following your favourite players and groups in their quest for the coveted Green Jacket. It’s one helluva week and we look forward to helping you enjoy it in 2025.

    Masters traditions

The Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club is steeped in tradition, each adding to its unique charm and distinguishing it from other golf majors. Some of the most notable traditions include:

    1. The Green Jacket: Awarded to the tournament winner, it’s a symbol of membership at Augusta National and must be returned to the club one year after a player’s victory, although winners are allowed to wear it anytime they visit the club.
    2. Crystal Awards: In addition to the main trophy, players can win various crystal awards for achievements such as a hole-in-one or the lowest daily score.
    3. Pimento Cheese Sandwiches: A classic and budget-friendly food item that has become synonymous with the Masters’ menu.
    4. Ceremonial Opening Drive: A tradition where past legends of the game hit an honorary opening shot to start the tournament.
    5. The Big Tree: A historic oak at Augusta National where members, players, and significant figures in golf gather during the tournament week.
    6. Champions Dinner: Held on the Tuesday of Masters week, past champions gather for a dinner hosted by the previous year’s winner, who selects the menu.
    7. Wednesday Par-3 Contest: A fun and family-friendly event held the day before the tournament starts, featuring past and current players.
    8. The Masters Theme Song: “Augusta” is a soft piano melody that has become iconic with the broadcast of the tournament.
    9. Caddies in White Jumpsuits: A tradition at Augusta, all caddies wear white jumpsuits, adding to the unique atmosphere of the Masters.
    10. Honorary Starters: Each tournament begins with an honorary opening drive by past greats of the game, a tradition that celebrates the history and legacy of golf.

There’s also lesser known traditions including:

    • Azalea gardens throughout the course, rumoured to be modified to ensure they bloom during Masters week
    • Players children and families joining them for the Wednesday Par-3 Contest
    • Playing of bird songs through speakers to add to the atmosphere
    • All food and drinks are fairly priced and traditional (think egg sandwiches, chicken sandwiches etc.)
    • Great atmosphere and politeness on display by officials and marshalls including in bathrooms
    • No mobile phones or cameras permitted on tournament days
    • No advertising
    • Players often skim balls across the water, particularly on hole 16, during practice days making for quite the spectacle

These traditions contribute to the Masters being a revered event in the world of golf, embodying a rich blend of history, sport, and culture.

  • Good to know

    • Mobile phones cannot be taken into the course on tournament days (Thu-Sun) however they can be taken in on the Wednesday Par-3 Contest if adding that days ticket. If you bring a mobile device to the course on a tournament day it will be cloaked at the entrance.
    • Foldable chairs can be taken with you into the course and can also be purchased from the Masters Shop at the course. Chairs can be named or labelled and placed anywhere on the course. It’s tradition to place a chair down and then leave to return to your chair at anytime. You may find someone sitting in it, but they will move at your request.
    • All grandstands are unreserved and fans come and go during the day.
    • Amen Corner is a fabulous place to watch the action from as it includes views of the 11th, 12th and 13th holes at Augusta National.
    • There are Masters Tickets, sold through the ballot to individuals, as well as Masters Badges, which are series of tickets sold to subscribed patrons. They offer fans the same access.
    • If you are successful in the Masters ballot, you can remove tickets from your package so you don’t pay twice and you will receive a good price deduction.
  • Destination

    Augusta, GA

While Augusta, Georgia is not on the bucket-list of most visitors, there is actually quite a bit to see and do in the area. Augusta National may be the main drawcard for visitors during Masters week, however if you plan on arriving early or staying later there are some great things to see and do in Augusta including a river walk, museums and historic district. Outside of Augusta we recommend visiting Aiken and playing golf if you have time. Further afield we recommend visiting Charleston which is an old port city with cobblestone streets, horse-drawn carriages and pastel antebellum houses. It’s an elegant destination and well worth a visit with plenty of Southern charm. You can of course extend throughout the USA from Atlanta and the eastern seaboard with plenty of amazing cities and attractions likely on your bucket-list, all of which we can assist with.

    Climate

April in Augusta, Georgia is generally good weather with low to moderate rainfall. Expect daily highs of 73ÂşF-80ÂşF (23ÂşC-27ÂşC) and lows of 51ÂşF-58ÂşF (11ÂşC-14ÂşC). During Masters week generally there is only a day or two with some rain, but be prepared for all seasons. If you plan on queuing early to place a chair on the 18th Green or elsewhere it will likely be cold in the morning so bring gloves, a beanie or warm jacket for the early morning, but it could be warm later in the day, so bring a hat and sunglasses as well.

Frequently asked questions

  • When is the 2025 Masters?

The 2025 Masters Tournament will be held from 7-13 April, 2025. The tournament has three practice days, including the Wednesday Par-3 Contest, and four tournament days from Thursday to Sunday.

  • Where is the 2025 Masters?

The 2025 Masters Tournament will be held at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia. The Masters has been held here since 1934.

  • When do 2025 Masters Tickets and Packages go on sale?

The official 2025 Masters ballot will take registrations from 1-20 June 2024 and open in July 2024. Our 2025 Masters packages are available now to book early and secure your place — guaranteed.

  • How can I buy 2025 Masters Tickets?

There are two ways to buy 2025 Masters tickets. The first is to try your luck in the official 2025 Masters ballot. If successful, you will have the opportunity to buy tickets to the days you are approved for, however you often get one or maybe two days and they may not be consecutive so you need to plan to stay the week and go on the days you are successful for. Most fans who enter the ballot are not successful as it’s always oversubscribed. The ballot period also happens relatively close to the event, so it can be challenging for international visitors planning a big trip.

The second option is to book a 2025 Masters package or Masters Golf Tour including Masters tickets (Masters Badges), accommodation and other services. This method is a little more expensive due to ticket costs, however can be much more convenient, helping you stay less days overall and can guarantee your spot without hassle so you can plan your trip early and save on flights and accommodation prices which only go up closer to the time.

  • What types of 2025 Masters Packages and Tours are available?

For the 2025 Masters we have three options:

    1. Express Package: Stay three nights over the weekend and attend Saturday and Sunday with guaranteed Masters Tickets.
    2. Relax Package: Stay four nights over the weekend, arriving Thursday, and attend Friday and Sunday with guaranteed Masters Tickets.
    3. Masters Golf Tour: With a small group, stay five nights and play two rounds of 18 holes on excellent local courses, plus attend Sunday with guaranteed Masters Tickets.

If you’re looking for something special, our team can put together a bespoke package, so you can enjoy the Masters experience that’s right for you.
