Catch-a-Coach schedule (2024)

To be updated for 2025 and subject to change at anytime at the sole discretion of the Australian Grand Prix Corporation.

One-way Catch-a-Coach trips are available to and from Melbourne (Southern Cross Station) and Phillip Island.

Coaches will depart Southern Cross Station for Phillip Island between the following times:

• Friday – 6:30 AM – 9:30 AM
• Saturday –  6:00 AM – 9:30 AM
• Sunday – 6:00 AM – 9:30 AM

Arrive at the Southern Cross Coach Terminal between these times and hop on the next available coach.

All Catch-a-Coach services drop off and pick up at Gate 3 on Gap Road at the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, with the following exceptions:

• Thursday one-way service: Departure at 2:00 PM from Southern Cross Station. Drop-off at Gate 1, followed by Cowes V/Line Bus Stop (Thompson Ave/Chapel Street)
• Monday one-way service: Pick-up at Cowes V/Line Bus Stop at 11:00 AM (Thompson Ave/Chapel Street), followed by Gate 1 at 11:30 am.

Coaches depart the circuit from Gate 3 back to Melbourne during the following periods:

• Friday and Saturday: Depart between 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM
• Sunday: Depart between 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM

The last coach departs the circuit when the gates close. Please leave enough time to get to the Gate 3 coach stop before the gates close.

Climate

October in Melbourne ushers in spring, with average daytime temperatures around 17°C to 22°C (63°F to 72°F) and nighttime lows around 9°C to 13°C (48°F to 55°F). This time of year is characterised by a mix of rain and sunshine, with the weather gradually warming as the month progresses. At Phillip Island, and particularly the circuit, it can be beautiful, but it can also be windy and rainy, adding to the challenge for riders. We recommend dressing for all seasons.

Good to know

• Phillip Island’s rugged coastline can bring about unpredictable weather from Bass Strait. To keep comfortable, upgrade to a covered grandstand or a hospitality suite
• We recommend packing ear protection (motorcycles are loud!)
• Extend your stay after the race in Melbourne to enjoy many world-renowned attractions including theatre shows, the NGV, ACME, shops, restaurants and iconic sights including the MCG, Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit, St Kilda Beach and more.

The default currency for this event is AUD ($). We accept AUD, USD, GBP, EUR, or NZD on request.

Payment requirements:

• A deposit of 25% is due to confirm your booking, plus any ticket upgrades and extras*.
• The balance of 75% is due by 18 July 2025^.

*If your booking includes extra services, alternative payment terms may apply. Specific details will be outlined during the quoting process. For example, independent flights typically require immediate full payment to confirm, while car rentals generally require payment upon vehicle pickup.
^ Bookings made after the balance due date require full payment upfront, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

How to make payment

Your invoice will include instructions for payment via direct bank transfer (EFT) or secure online credit/debit card payment. Each invoice contains a “Pay Now” link directing you to a secure payment portal for quick and easy card payments.

How to pay in other currencies and fees

Invoices can be issued and paid in AUD, USD, GBP, EUR, or NZD. If you would like to pay in a different currency to the default currency for this event, please contact our team to request an updated invoice. The total will be converted at the best available mid-market exchange rate, with updated payment instructions provided.
