A message from our Director
The Suncorp Super Netball season is unlike any other on the sporting calendar — short, sharp and relentless from the opening round. Fun. Fast. Fierce. Three words that capture exactly what Super Netball delivers, and nowhere more so than on Grand Final night. With the 2026 season wrapping up earlier than usual ahead of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, July will be here before you know it. If you are thinking about going, now is the time to book.
The energy of the 2025 Grand Final was extraordinary, and 2026 promises to back that up. The Melbourne Vixens will be looking to defend their title on home soil at John Cain Arena if they can make it through the season to snag a spot in the Grand Final. With the move to John Cain Arena, capacity is around 30% less than 2025, which will make it more exclusive, more intimate, louder and more electric.
Suncorp Super Netball is the premier netball competition in the world, producing the game’s finest players, most competitive teams and most memorable finals. The talent on court is extraordinary, and on Grand Final night, the margin for error is zero. Form counts for little. On the night, it is anyone’s game.
For those travelling with Events Travel, the experience is managed with care and precision from start to finish. As the Official Fan Travel Partner of Netball Australia, we bring more than 30 years of expertise in crafting official Super Netball Grand Final travel experiences that feel seamless and personal. From your first enquiry through to the final whistle, you work with a dedicated team that understands the event and your travel priorities. With guaranteed Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final tickets, premium hospitality options and handpicked Melbourne accommodation, your Grand Final experience is in the right hands.
The result is a Grand Final night that feels special, considered and completely taken care of. We look forward to welcoming you to John Cain Arena for the biggest night in netball.

Tram is the easiest and most popular way to reach John Cain Arena on Grand Final night. Route 70 runs directly along Flinders Street and stops at 7C — MCG/John Cain Arena/Melbourne Park, a short walk from the Melbourne Park entrance. Trams are free within the CBD, making this the most convenient option for fans staying in the city.
John Cain Arena is an easy walk from Melbourne’s CBD and our featured hotels and apartments, whether through the CBD or along the Yarra River. Walking times range from around 5 minutes to 15–20 minutes and are generally an easy, safe and scenic journey.
For something a little more memorable, water transfers depart from Southbank and arrive directly at Melbourne Park via the Yarra River. A scenic and stress-free way to travel to the Grand Final.
Taxis and rideshare services including Uber drop off on Batman Avenue adjacent to Melbourne Park. On Grand Final night, allow additional time for traffic and consider arranging a pickup point in advance for the return journey.
Taxis and rideshare services are available from the dedicated rank outside the arrivals terminal at Melbourne Airport. Journey time to the CBD is approximately 25–40 minutes depending on traffic and can cost A$50–A$60 or more one-way.
SkyBus operates a direct coach service between Melbourne Airport and Southern Cross Station in the CBD, with services running around the clock. A reliable and cost-effective option for solo travellers and couples. Plan your SkyBus journey here with pricing varying according to age of traveller — tickets are approximately A$20–A$25 per adult one-way. If you are travelling with a group, a taxi or rideshare service may be more affordable than individual SkyBus fares. From Southern Cross Station you may also need to take a further train, taxi, tram or walk through the CBD to your accommodation.
Events Travel can arrange private airport transfers as part of your Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final 2026 travel package, ensuring a seamless arrival and departure from Melbourne. Contact our team for a quote, including in-terminal meet and greet.
Melbourne is one of the world’s most celebrated and liveable cities, renowned for its food, sport, culture and style. Compact, walkable and endlessly rewarding, it is a city that rewards curiosity at every turn. From the laneways of the CBD lined with acclaimed cafés and restaurants to the expansive Royal Botanic Gardens, the Yarra River precinct and world-class cultural institutions including the National Gallery of Victoria and the Melbourne Museum, there is no shortage of ways to fill your days before and after the Grand Final.
The Melbourne Park precinct places you at the heart of it all, moments from the CBD, the Yarra River and some of the city’s most popular dining and entertainment precincts including Southbank, South Yarra and Fitzroy. Beyond the city, Victoria delivers exceptional variety within easy reach — the Yarra Valley wine region, the Mornington Peninsula, the Great Ocean Road and the Dandenong Ranges are all within a short drive for those looking to extend their stay.
July is mid-winter in Melbourne, with cool to cold conditions and the chance of rain. Average daytime temperatures sit between 9°C and 14°C, with cooler evenings dropping to around 6°C–8°C. Melbourne’s weather is famously changeable, so layers are recommended. John Cain Arena is a fully enclosed indoor venue, ensuring a comfortable Grand Final night regardless of conditions outside. Pack a warm jacket for travel to and from the arena.
Every journey is different. With more than 30 years of experience, our team can tailor your trip with flexible services and extras, designing the perfect itinerary and sourcing the best available rates and options using our experience and networks, tailored to your preferences and trip. Very convenient. Book everything together.
Booking through Events travel gave us the opportunity to purchase Australian Open tennis tickets prior to the general ticket sales. They gave us an extensive list of hotels to choose from. We booked tickets at Rod Laver arena which we were very happy with. We hope to use Events Travel again.
