With the 2026 season wrapping up earlier than usual ahead of the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, July will be here before you know it. If you are thinking about going, now is the time to book.

The energy of the 2025 Grand Final was extraordinary, and 2026 promises to back that up. The Melbourne Vixens will be looking to defend their title on home soil at John Cain Arena if they can make it through the season to snag a spot in the Grand Final. With the move to John Cain Arena, capacity is around 30% less than 2025, which will make it more exclusive, more intimate, louder and more electric.

Silver category seats are located in the upper section of John Cain Arena, generally offering guests a diagonal view of the court and arena.

Gold

Courtside A

Getting to John Cain Arena for the Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final

Trams

Tram is the easiest and most popular way to reach John Cain Arena on Grand Final night. Route 70 runs directly along Flinders Street and stops at 7C — MCG/John Cain Arena/Melbourne Park, a short walk from the Melbourne Park entrance. Trams are free within the CBD, making this the most convenient option for fans staying in the city.

Walking

John Cain Arena is an easy walk from Melbourne’s CBD and our featured hotels and apartments, whether through the CBD or along the Yarra River. Walking times range from around 5 minutes to 15–20 minutes and are generally an easy, safe and scenic journey.

Water transfers

For something a little more memorable, water transfers depart from Southbank and arrive directly at Melbourne Park via the Yarra River. A scenic and stress-free way to travel to the Grand Final.

Taxi and rideshare

Taxis and rideshare services including Uber drop off on Batman Avenue adjacent to Melbourne Park. On Grand Final night, allow additional time for traffic and consider arranging a pickup point in advance for the return journey.

Getting to Melbourne city from Melbourne Airport

Taxi and rideshare

Taxis and rideshare services are available from the dedicated rank outside the arrivals terminal at Melbourne Airport. Journey time to the CBD is approximately 25–40 minutes depending on traffic and can cost A$50–A$60 or more one-way.

SkyBus

SkyBus operates a direct coach service between Melbourne Airport and Southern Cross Station in the CBD, with services running around the clock. A reliable and cost-effective option for solo travellers and couples. Plan your SkyBus journey here with pricing varying according to age of traveller — tickets are approximately A$20–A$25 per adult one-way. If you are travelling with a group, a taxi or rideshare service may be more affordable than individual SkyBus fares. From Southern Cross Station you may also need to take a further train, taxi, tram or walk through the CBD to your accommodation.
