The Open packages for 2027 at St Andrews are on sale now with Events Travel, Authorised Provider of The Open Championship since 2019 and Official Sub-Agent with The Open Experiences. With official tickets guaranteed outside the public ballot, Events Travel is the best place to book Open Championship packages with The Open tickets and hospitality for the landmark 155th Open where golf originated — St Andrews, Scotland.
From 11 to 18 July 2027, the Old Course will host The 155th Open. The oldest Championship will return to the course where it was first played in 1873 and where legends from Jack Nicklaus to Tiger Woods and Cameron Smith have lifted the Claret Jug. Choose from practice round packages to tournament packages, with official tickets guaranteed starting with general admission and Ticket Plus, to select hospitality experiences to take your Championship beyond the course with Premium, Platinum and Signature options overlooking the undulating fairways, deep pot bunkers and the famous Swilcan Bridge.
Each Open Championship package and experience is designed for flexibility and comfort. Stay in St Andrews itself, a short walk from the course, or in Edinburgh with daily return transport and the added benefit of everything the capital has to offer, from Holyrood Palace to Calton Hill, Arthur’s Seat to Edinburgh Castle and The Elephant House café of Harry Potter fame. Personalise your itinerary with return flights, transfers, sightseeing, travel insurance and play golf options on Scotland’s famous links, extend through the Scottish Highlands on our post-Open tour, or combine The Open with The Championships, Wimbledon 2027, the Ashes 2027 and the Formula 1 British Grand Prix 2027 for the ultimate British summer of sport.

The Open is the one major I’d tell any golf fan to see in person at least once — and if you’re going to do it once, do it at St Andrews. It’s the only major played outside the United States, rotating through the great links courses of the UK and Northern Ireland, and in 2027 the landmark 155th Open returns to the Old Course and the Home of Golf. After more than 30 years sending fans to the biggest events in sport, I can tell you a week at The Open is unlike anything else in golf: a festival of the game and its pageantry, where you walk the course with the world’s best, get close to your favourite players and watch the drama of links golf unfold in the place it all began.
What makes it work is the combination. The Old Course itself — the Swilcan Bridge, the Road Hole, fairways shaped by 600 years of the game — a medieval town that lives and breathes golf for the week, and Scotland all around you, from the courses of Fife to the Highlands beyond. Getting the most out of it takes the right Open package: the right tickets for the right days, accommodation in St Andrews itself or in Edinburgh with transport handled, and a team who knows the course, the town and the country. That’s the standard we set.
Events Travel has been trusted with The Open Championship since 2019, as Authorised Provider and now Official Sub-Agent with The Open Experiences, and we welcomed fans from across the world to The 150th at St Andrews in 2022 — a milestone Championship we’re proud of and intend to repeat. Whether you’re booking The Open tickets through an official package, upgrading to hospitality or choosing a complete Open and Scottish golf experience, we’ve built our reputation on getting the details right. What’s better still, you can combine your Open experience with the Ashes 2027, The Championships, Wimbledon 2027 and the Formula 1 British Grand Prix 2027 to create the ultimate British summer of sport, all in-house through our official partnerships.
Now it’s your turn — I can’t wait to welcome you to St Andrews for The 155th Open in 2027.

Director, Events Travel
The official schedule for The 155th Open has not yet been announced by The R&A. The Open follows a consistent format each year, and The Open 2027 schedule is expected to run as follows, based on The 154th Open in 2026:
On Championship days, gates open from approximately 6:00am, with the first tee times from approximately 6:35am and play concluding around 8:00pm–9:00pm, subject to weather and daylight.
Coming soon.
Most Events Travel packages staying in Edinburgh include daily return transport to St Andrews, arranged and managed for you across practice and Championship days, with travel taking approximately 90 minutes each way. Guests staying in St Andrews itself are within walking distance of the Old Course. For those making their own way, St Andrews has no train station of its own — most spectators arrive by rail to Leuchars Station on the Aberdeen line, approximately 10 minutes from the course by shuttle bus, with regular connections from Edinburgh Waverley taking around one hour. During The Open, dedicated park-and-ride sites operate around St Andrews with shuttle transfers to the course. Taxis and rideshare operate in both cities, though expect heavy demand around the course at the close of play.
General Admission (Classic tickets)
Classic tickets are The Open’s standard general admission ticket, providing daily access to the Old Course and the grounds, with unreserved viewing around the course and in the grandstands. General admission tickets for The Open are sold by The R&A through a public ballot, expected in late 2026 — official travel packages from Events Travel are the only way to secure guaranteed tickets ahead of the ballot.
Ticket Plus
Ticket Plus is The Open’s premium daily ticket, combining full course access with entry to Links, a private area near the 8th hole of the Old Course with a relaxed festival atmosphere. Walk the course, watch from dedicated standing platforms and complimentary grandstands, then return to base to refuel whenever you like. Ticket Plus for The 155th Open is sold out on Championship days through The R&A — official travel packages from Events Travel include Ticket Plus tickets, guaranteed.
Inclusions:
Hospitality
Official hospitality at The 155th Open offers reserved facilities overlooking the course, with options including Range View, Sea View, Road Hole, Premium, Platinum and Signature experiences. Inclusions vary by product, from premium dining and bar service to some of the best views on the Old Course. Hospitality is available as an upgrade on Events Travel packages, subject to availability.
St Andrews in July is the ideal backdrop for The Open 2027. A medieval town of cobbled streets, university quadrangles and cathedral ruins on the Fife coast, St Andrews lives and breathes golf — home to the R&A, the British Golf Museum and the Old Course itself, where the town meets the first tee. During Championship week the whole town becomes part of the event, from the shops and pubs of Market Street to the West Sands beach running alongside the links.
Edinburgh, around 90 minutes from the course, makes a compelling base with far more beyond the golf. Scotland’s capital rewards every spare hour — Edinburgh Castle on its volcanic crag, the Royal Mile down to the Palace of Holyroodhouse, the climb up Arthur’s Seat or Calton Hill for views across the city, and the restaurants, whisky bars and festival energy of the Old and New Towns, both UNESCO World Heritage listed.
Beyond both, Scotland is a destination in its own right. Extend through the Highlands on our post-Open tour, play the famous links of Fife and East Lothian, or explore lochs, castles and distilleries — July brings Scotland’s longest, mildest days, made for it.
July is mid-summer in Scotland, with average daytime temperatures in St Andrews around 17–19°C (63–66°F) and evenings cooling to approximately 11–13°C (52–55°F). Coastal links weather is famously changeable — sunshine, wind and passing showers can all feature in a single day, and it is part of the character of The Open. Pack layers, a waterproof jacket and comfortable walking shoes for the course. Daylight is generous, with sunrise before 5:00am and sunset after 10:00pm, giving long evenings to enjoy St Andrews or Edinburgh after play.
Every journey is different. With more than 30 years of experience, our team can tailor your trip with flexible services and extras, designing the perfect itinerary and sourcing the best available rates and options using our experience and networks, tailored to your preferences and trip. Many guests choose to extend their trip beyond the event itself, combining their experience with a broader holiday — whether it’s a few extra days, a few weeks or a stopover.
