The action takes place at Hong Kong Stadium, jammed between towering buildings and lush jungle on Hong Kong Island. Over the weekend, 120,000 spirited fans from around the world join the festivities; making the atmosphere energetic, lively and truly unique to the Hong Kong Sevens.
Played over 3-days, the matches are short (7-minute halves), fast-paced and high scoring with quick turnovers and huge hits. If you’re a newcomer, the South Stand has a strong reputation as the most ‘lively’, with dress ups, sing-alongs and antics providing entertainment for those within and those looking on — dress ups are strongly encouraged! The Sevens is known for entertainment, with plenty happening both on and off the field off. Music is played between each match and huge performances from the likes of Madness, The Village People, Gwen Stefani and The Beach Boys are a regular addition to the Hong Kong Sevens.
As an Official Travel Agent of 28 years, we can get you there with our Official Packages. These include tickets, hospitality, accommodation and other travel services (flights, transport, sightseeing and more). We have hand-picked our hotels on Hong Kong Island for convenience, comfort and quality from budget all the way to the best 5-star luxury hotels available and if you can’t find the right package for you, our expert team will happily put together a customised package for you.

Firmly established as one of the world’s premier rugby events, and one of the most popular annual sporting events in Asia, the Hong Kong Sevens attracts some of the world’s greatest rugby players and thousands of fans from every corner of the globe.
The tournament began in 1976 at the Hong Kong Football Club with 12 teams in front of 3,000 people. Today, it’s a three-day extravaganza of international rugby revelry with 40 teams playing in front of 120,000 spectators and World Rugby’s largest prize purse. It’s the place ‘Where the World Comes to Play.’
Hong Kong is Asia’s World City and is culturally diverse; its rich colonial past is displayed throughout the city’s modern galleries and museums and is evident in the architecture. Hong Kong is one of the world’s finance and business hubs and is becoming renowned as the shopping and food destination of Asia. We love Hong Kong for its entertainment value; with pubs, clubs and restaurants on Hong Kong Island coming alive during the Sevens. Visitors will enjoy a relaxed atmosphere throughout the city, as locals welcome travellers from around the world. Hong Kong is a fantastic destination for sightseeing. The dramatic landscape features sprawling buildings and lush green spaces (over 70% of Hong Kong is jungle!) with the stunning Victoria Harbour separating Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. Explore hidden scenic hikes, beautiful beaches, markets and an amazing food scene—including the world’s cheapest Michelin star restaurant in North Point. There is something for everyone in this unique city.

April is on the cusp of the rainy season in Hong Kong, so you may experience some rain. You can expect highs of 29C and lows of 19C. Although the weather can be less sunny, it also means the UV is lower, which is great for watching outdoor activities like rugby and exploring a foreign city. Pack a poncho and a light jumper and don’t forget your dress ups!

Hong Kong Sevens is usually held at Hong Kong Stadium, however 2024 will be the final edition to be held here, as the tournament is moving to Kai Tai Sports Park on the Kowloon side of Victoria Harbour. This will be the end of an era and a must-see edition of Hong Kong Sevens.
There are two ways to buy Hong Kong Sevens 2024 tickets. The first is to try your luck in the official ballot, however it’s always over-subscribed and sells out quickly, mainly to locals, rugby clubs and lucky visitors.

Our official packages not only get you direct access to official tickets and other premium travel services for a fixed price, our expert team can work with you to ensure you get the perfect trip you’re looking for.
