The Hong Kong Sevens is one of my favourite events on our calendar, and after sending fans here for nearly three decades, I can say with confidence it delivers something no other rugby tournament does. Three days, 28 nations, around 11 hours of rugby each day, and a tournament with character and energy entirely of its own — a three-day phenomenon that has drawn fans, players and travellers from around the world for more than fifty years.
What makes it work is the combination: world-class sevens at Kai Tak Stadium, a striking modern venue at the heart of the Kowloon waterfront, and a city that matches and amplifies the energy of the tournament. The bowl atmosphere at Kai Tak is intense and intimate, with fans from dozens of nations creating a wall of colour and sound that defines the HK7s experience. Beyond the rugby, Hong Kong rewards its visitors with a density of experience found nowhere else — a skyline that defines the modern world, a harbour that stops you in your tracks, and streets where world-class Cantonese cuisine sits alongside international dining, night markets and heritage temples. Many of our guests use the Sevens as the centrepiece of a broader Asian journey, with Macau, Singapore, Tokyo, Bali and Bangkok all within easy reach. Getting the most out of it takes the right Hong Kong Sevens 2027 travel package — accommodation in the right neighbourhood, the right tickets or hospitality, and a team on the ground who knows both the event and the city. That’s the standard we set.
Events Travel has been an Official Travel Agent for the Hong Kong Sevens and Hong Kong China Rugby since 1997, with more than 30 years of experience creating HK7s travel experiences that feel seamless, genuine and personal. Whether you’re booking Hong Kong Sevens 2027 tickets, Captain’s Lounge hospitality or a fully curated Hong Kong Sevens package, we’ve built our reputation on getting the details right — for travellers joining us for the first time and for those returning for their tenth HK7s.
Now it’s your turn. I can’t wait to welcome you to Hong Kong for the 2027 Sevens.

The full Hong Kong Sevens 2027 match schedule will be confirmed by the organisers closer to the event. Gates open from approximately 7:00am, with pool play continuing through the morning before the Cup Quarter-Finals and 9th Place Quarter-Finals across the men’s and women’s tournaments. The Melrose Claymore competition continues through the day, with play running through to approximately 9:00pm.

The MTR is the recommended way to reach Kai Tak Stadium for Hong Kong Sevens 2027. From most central Kowloon and Hong Kong Island hotels, take the Tuen Ma Line (brown) directly to Kai Tak Station and walk approximately 10 minutes to the stadium. Hong Kong’s metro system is fast, clean, air-conditioned and safe, and significantly faster post-match than waiting for a taxi or rideshare. Ferry services across Victoria Harbour are also available from Hong Kong Island, and private transfers and coach transfers can be arranged for groups on request. Complete travel directions tailored to your accommodation will be provided within your travel documents.
Hong Kong is the perfect backdrop for the Hong Kong Sevens 2027. A fast, layered and endlessly alive city where Cantonese tradition meets global cosmopolitan energy, Hong Kong offers world-class dining, striking modern architecture and a density of experience found nowhere else, making it one of the world’s most rewarding cities to visit. From legendary street food and bustling night markets to Michelin-starred restaurants, neon-lit nightlife in Lan Kwai Fong and lush hiking trails on Lantau Island, the city rewards exploration at every turn.
Kai Tak Stadium sits on the Kowloon waterfront, moments from the MTR and connected easily to hotels across Kowloon and Hong Kong Island. Between sessions, guests move seamlessly from the rugby to the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, the Star Ferry across Victoria Harbour, the Peak Tram, the temples and markets of Mong Kok, and the bars and restaurants of Soho and Wan Chai. April is Hong Kong at its most inviting — comfortable temperatures, lower humidity and a city fully alive with the energy of the Hong Kong Sevens.
The Hong Kong Sevens is held at the height of the Hong Kong spring, when the city enjoys some of its most comfortable weather of the year. Average daytime temperatures range from approximately 20°C to 24°C (68°F to 75°F), with mild evenings and lower humidity than the summer months. Light layers are recommended for the stadium and evenings out. Kai Tak Stadium is fully covered, ensuring play continues regardless of conditions and protecting your Hong Kong Sevens 2027 experience whatever the weather.
Every journey is different. With more than 30 years of experience, our team can tailor your trip with flexible services and extras, designing the perfect itinerary and sourcing the best available rates and options using our experience and networks, tailored to your preferences and trip. Many guests choose to extend their trip beyond the event itself, combining their experience with a broader holiday — whether it’s a few extra days, a few weeks or a stopover.
