Quail Hollow Club
The prestigious Quail Hollow Club is located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The private club, founded in 1959, is a par-72, 6950 m long course. The leafy, parkland course features a stately clubhouse designed in the traditional southern colonial style and has a beautiful flowing course with slick bunkers and sweeping fairways that reward risky shots. Rory McIlroy has the course record of 61, set here in 2015. The club has hosted the Wells Fargo Championship since 2003 and PGA Championship in 2017 amongst other elite events. The course was designed originally by George Cobb and has been modified by Arnold Palmer and Tom Fazio over the years into the Championship-calibre course that it is today.
What’s on offer from Events Travel?
Quail Hollow Club is 20 minutes from downtown Charlotte, North Carolina’s largest city. The city was named after George III’s wife and now carries the nickname the Queen City. Charlotte boomed back in the 1850’s with gold fever and is now the third-largest banking center in the US. The CBD is home to futuristic skyscrapers and is officially called ‘uptown.’ That’s where you’ll find museums and the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Outside of the uptown area, Charlotte is made-up of trendy neighbourhoods with historic sites, museums, funky boutiques, breweries, cafes and hip restaurants.
