A message from our Director
Hong Kong Sevens 2026 marks a milestone — the 50th anniversary of the world’s greatest rugby sevens festival — and we’re delighted to invite you to be part of this legendary occasion.
Rugby Sevens is pure energy, speed and spectacle, and nowhere captures that spirit better than Hong Kong. Across three exhilarating days, you’ll witness non-stop action as the world’s best players deliver dazzling tries, crunching tackles and relentless end-to-end play. With matches made up of two fast-paced halves, the drama never lets up — every moment counts, and every game is electric.
This year is especially significant. Fresh from the British & Irish Lions tour of Australia, the Wallabies’ emphatic win over South Africa, Rugby World Cup 2027 on the horizon and Rugby Sevens confirmed for LA 2028, the global game is thriving. There’s no better place to celebrate its golden era than in Hong Kong this April.
The tournament also begins a new chapter at the spectacular Kai Tak Sports Park. Fans will enjoy state-of-the-art facilities including Asia’s second-longest bar, ventilated seating for maximum comfort, enhanced hospitality and breathtaking views of Victoria Harbour from the iconic South Stand. Paired with world-class entertainment and headline acts, it creates an atmosphere found nowhere else in world sport.
Equally compelling is the host city itself. Hong Kong is Asia’s world city — a dynamic blend of culture, cuisine and nightlife. From dim sum and neon-lit night markets to Michelin-starred dining and rooftop bars, the city offers as much excitement off the pitch as on it. Take in the nightly harbour lightshow, ride the Peak Tram for sweeping skyline views, or explore historic museums and cultural districts — Hong Kong rewards every moment of curiosity.
At Events Travel, we’re proud to have been an Official Travel Agent for the Hong Kong Sevens since 1997 — making us the longest-running OTA worldwide. Over nearly three decades, we’ve welcomed thousands of guests from individuals and families to corporate groups and incentives, delivering seamless, premium and unforgettable Sevens experiences.
For 2026, our official travel packages include guaranteed official match tickets with options ranging from General Admission to exclusive Corporate Boxes and Captain’s Lounge Hospitality. Pair your tickets with a curated selection of 4-star and 5-star hotels on Hong Kong Island and Kowloon — including many long-time favourites returning to our program. With daily breakfast, curated extras, flexible options and expert support from our team, everything is taken care of for the ultimate Hong Kong Sevens experience.
We invite you to join us for this historic 50th edition — a celebration of sport, culture and camaraderie that promises to be one of the standout rugby moments of the decade. Whether it’s your first trip or you’ve been before, our packages offer peace of mind and service to ensure it’s unforgettable.
See you there!

INSERT MAP
The Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens is firmly established as one of the world’s premier rugby events — and one of the most popular annual sporting events in Asia. It attracts the world’s greatest players and thousands of fans from across the globe.
The tournament began in 1976 at the Hong Kong Football Club with just 12 teams and 3,000 spectators. Today, it has grown into a three-day rugby celebration featuring 40 teams, more than 120,000 fans and the largest prize purse on the World Rugby Sevens Series. It remains the place “Where the World Comes to Play.”
Full transfer details will be provided in your travel documents for your chosen hotel. The most common ways to reach Kai Tak Sports Park are:
Walking: 10–15 minutes from some hotels, up to 20–30 minutes from others where possible.
MTR: 20–30 minutes from many Kowloon and Hong Kong Island hotels; the most popular option for fans.
Taxi: Quick and convenient, usually 10–20 minutes depending on traffic from Kowloon, longer from Hong Kong Island.
From Hong Kong Island: 20–40 minutes by MTR or 20–30 minutes by ferry from North Point (note: return ferries close around 7:30pm, so train is advised for the return).
Most fans will use the MTR, with taxis and rideshare also widely available.
General Admission
Enjoy the authentic Sevens atmosphere with all-day access to matches, fan zones and entertainment. Seating is unreserved and first come, first served including the South Stand.
Corporate Box
Events Travel has its own private open-air box, located on the eastern sideline one tier back from the pitch. This exclusive space offers dedicated seating, easy come-and-go access, and in-seat service. Food and beverage can be pre-ordered or purchased on the day. It’s the perfect setting to host colleagues, clients or friends in a premium environment.
Captain’s Lounge Hospitality
A premium hospitality experience with elevated inclusions, curated dining and access to one of the best viewing and networking environments at the Sevens.
Hong Kong, often called Asia’s World City, is a vibrant melting pot where East meets West. The city’s colonial heritage blends seamlessly with modern architecture, art galleries and museums, creating a fascinating cultural mosaic. As one of the world’s great financial and business hubs, Hong Kong is also a premier destination for shopping and dining. From luxury malls and designer boutiques to bustling street markets, and from Michelin-starred restaurants to hidden local eateries, the food scene is unmatched.
During the Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens, the city’s energy reaches its peak. On Hong Kong Island, pubs, clubs and restaurants come alive with fans and locals celebrating late into the night, creating a festive yet welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re meeting friends at a rooftop bar overlooking Victoria Harbour or exploring Kowloon’s lively night markets, the city embraces travellers from all over the world.
For sightseeing, Hong Kong offers extraordinary variety. The iconic skyline is framed by lush green mountains, with over 70% of the territory covered in country parks and nature reserves. Victoria Harbour, one of the most stunning urban landscapes on earth, separates Kowloon from Hong Kong Island and offers breathtaking views — especially from the Peak Tram.
Beyond the skyscrapers, you’ll find scenic hiking trails, pristine beaches, traditional temples and a vibrant street food culture. Don’t miss local favourites like dim sum at Tim Ho Wan, the world’s most affordable Michelin-starred restaurant, or a ferry ride across the harbour for a quintessential Hong Kong experience.
Whether you’re seeking culture, adventure, relaxation or culinary delights, Hong Kong delivers a perfect blend of tradition, modernity and natural beauty.
In April, Hong Kong enjoys a mild and pleasant spring climate — one of the best times of year to visit. Average temperatures range from 20°C (68°F) in the evenings to 26°C (79°F) during the day. Humidity begins to rise but is not yet at the heavy levels of summer, and fresh breezes often keep conditions comfortable.
This makes April ideal for sightseeing, outdoor activities and enjoying the Hong Kong Sevens. Light clothing is usually sufficient, but a light jacket or sweater is recommended for cooler evenings, air-conditioned venues and ferry rides across the harbour.
For an authentic Hong Kong experience, extend your stay with an extra night and head to the iconic Happy Valley Racecourse on Wednesday evening. Famous for its lively atmosphere, this mid-week event is a fan favourite where gambling is permitted — a one-of-a-kind night out in the heart of the city.
First-timers to the Hong Kong Sevens should spend some time in the famous South Stand for a uniquely spirited spectator experience. Arrive early to secure a spot, as there is often a line to enter, especially on peak match days.
At the new Kai Tak Sports Park, fans can enjoy state-of-the-art facilities: Asia’s second-longest bar, ventilated seating for maximum comfort, and stunning Victoria Harbour views from the South Stand. Enhanced food, beverage and fan amenities ensure your time at the Sevens is unforgettable.
For an elevated experience, consider upgrading to a Corporate Box or Hospitality Package. While most of the stadium has unreserved seating, these options guarantee premium viewing, exclusive access and added comfort.
Hong Kong offers so much more than the Sevens. Extend your trip to explore the city’s culture, cuisine and natural beauty:
Wander Kowloon’s markets and museums for vibrant street life and heritage.
Indulge in Central’s restaurants and nightlife, from rooftop bars to Michelin-starred dining.
Escape the bustle with nearby beaches, scenic hikes and green spaces — over 70% of Hong Kong is covered in protected nature reserves.
