When the NRL chose Las Vegas as the stage for its season opener, it wasn’t simply a bold commercial decision. It was a recognition that the game had outgrown its boundaries, that its fans were ready for something extraordinary, and that Las Vegas — loud, electric and relentlessly entertaining — was the only city capable of matching the occasion.

Allegiant Stadium is a venue that demands to be experienced. One of the most technically advanced stadiums in the United States, it sits at the heart of the Las Vegas Strip with a presence that feels entirely at home in a city built on spectacle. Inside, the atmosphere on match day is extraordinary — shaped by passionate fans from Australia, New Zealand and beyond, united by the shared experience of watching world-class rugby league in one of the world’s most iconic settings. The roar of the crowd, the precision of the game and the sheer improbability of the occasion make for a sporting moment that is genuinely difficult to replicate.

Wednesday

• Clark County School Gala Day — Silver Bowl Park, Las Vegas. 21 schools competing across 10 fields, featuring NRL League Tag and NFL Flag Football games.

Thursday

• NRL Vegas 9s Tournament (Day 1) — Silver Bowl Park, Las Vegas, 10:00am–5:00pm. Free entry for spectators. Men’s and women’s teams from the USA, Australia, Canada and the UK compete in a festival atmosphere with live music, a beer garden and food vendors.
• Fan Fest — Fremont Street, Downtown Las Vegas, 5:00pm–late. Meet all teams, score exclusive giveaways and enjoy live performances and entertainment in the heart of Las Vegas.

Friday

• NRL Vegas 9s Tournament (Day 2) — Silver Bowl Park, Las Vegas, 10:00am–5:00pm
• Business of Sport Conference — Resorts World, Las Vegas. A star-studded lineup of sports and entertainment executives, entrepreneurs and thought leaders from Las Vegas, Australia, the UK and beyond.

Wednesday–Friday

• Fan Hub — Resorts World, Las Vegas, 10:00am–4:00pm daily. Live podcasts, player signings and meet and greets, Q&As with legends of the game, prize giveaways, live music and entertainment, and appearances from team mascots.
• Ozfest (Thursday–Friday) — The Complex, Resorts World Las Vegas, 10:00am–4:00pm daily. A showcase of Australian brands and culture.

Saturday — match day

• Hull KR v Leeds Rhinos — 4:00pm (PST)
• Newcastle Knights v North Queensland Cowboys — 6:15pm (PST)
• Canterbury Bulldogs v St George Illawarra Dragons — 8:30pm (PST)

Getting to Allegiant Stadium

Walking

The most popular option for Strip hotel guests. Cross the Hacienda Bridge from Las Vegas Boulevard — a pedestrian-only path closed to traffic on match days. Allegiant Stadium is also within easy walking distance from the Fan District, which includes Mandalay Bay, W Las Vegas and Luxor.

Public transport

The RTC Deuce bus runs 24/7 every 15 minutes from 57 stops along Las Vegas Boulevard, with the closest stop near Hacienda Bridge at Mandalay Bay. A 24-hour pass covers the journey to the stadium and anywhere else on the Strip. Passes can be purchased via the RTC app.

Rideshare

Uber and Lyft both service Allegiant Stadium, with a designated pick-up and drop-off area in Lot N. A dedicated area west of the stadium near Diablo and Procyon is also available for taxis, shuttles and general drop-off before and after matches.

Getting from Harry Reid International Airport

Taxi

Harry Reid International Airport has a designated taxi line just outside the baggage claim area. Taxis offer a flat rate to different zones on the Strip and are one of the fastest options from the airport.

Rideshare

Uber and Lyft operate from a designated area on the second level of the airport parking garage — the same level as flight arrivals. Collect checked bags before heading up one level to the rideshare area. We recommend checking both apps for the best available price, as rates fluctuate based on demand.

Hotel shuttle

Several shared shuttle services operate from the ground transportation level, including Airline Shuttle, Bell Trans, Showtime and SuperShuttle. Tickets can be purchased at operator kiosks. Note that shared shuttles make multiple hotel stops, so travel time will vary depending on your hotel’s location on the Strip. Some hotels also offer private guest shuttles — check directly with your hotel.

Public bus

The RTC and Deuce buses are the most budget-friendly airport option, stopping at the airport and along the Strip approximately every 15 minutes. Single ride tickets and day passes are available via machine kiosks or on board. The Las Vegas Monorail is also accessible once you reach Las Vegas Boulevard.

Allegiant Stadium — know before you go

Climate

Late February in Las Vegas brings mild, dry and largely sunny conditions — some of the most comfortable weather of the year for being outdoors. Daytime temperatures typically reach 17°C to 19°C (63°F to 66°F), with cooler evenings dropping to around 6°C to 8°C (43°F to 46°F). Rainfall is minimal and sunshine is abundant, with low humidity making the daytime heat easy to manage. A light jacket is recommended for evenings, particularly after the stadium atmosphere cools down post-match.
