Taking the opening round of the NRL Telstra Premiership to the entertainment capital of the world, putting four NRL clubs on the same field as a Super League fixture, and turning a round of football into a full week away — there is nothing else like it on the calendar. After more than 30 years sending Australians to the biggest events in sport, and helping rugby league fans travel the world since 1995, I can tell you this is the trip our travellers talk about long after they get home.

What makes it work is the combination: a season opener at Allegiant Stadium, a fully enclosed, climate-controlled arena right beside the Strip, and a city built for exactly this kind of weekend. The atmosphere when tens of thousands of travelling fans fill that stadium is something you have to be there to understand. What I love most, though, is how easily it opens up the rest of the United States. Rugby League Las Vegas 2027 schedule

The full Rugby League Las Vegas 2027 schedule, including kick-off times and broadcast details, will be confirmed by the NRL closer to the event. Rugby League Las Vegas 2027 will be played as a single-day triple-header at Allegiant Stadium on Saturday, 27 February 2027, with the Melbourne Storm meeting the Wests Tigers and the Parramatta Eels facing the Gold Coast Titans in the opening round of the NRL Telstra Premiership, and Bradford Bulls taking on Leigh Leopards in the Super League. The following programme is based on the 2026 event and offers a guide to the wider week of activities in Las Vegas. It will be updated once the 2027 schedule is confirmed.

Wednesday
The week opens with the Clark County School Gala Day at Silver Bowl Park, where 21 schools compete across 10 fields in NRL League Tag and NFL Flag Football. The Fan Hub at Resorts World also opens, running daily through to Friday with live podcasts, player signings, legends Q&As, prize giveaways and entertainment.

Thursday
Day one of the NRL Vegas 9s tournament runs from 10:00am to 5:00pm at Silver Bowl Park, with free entry for spectators and men’s and women’s teams from the USA, Australia, Canada and the UK. Ozfest, a showcase of Australian brands and culture, opens at The Complex at Resorts World and runs through Friday. The Fan Fest then takes over Fremont Street in Downtown Las Vegas from 5:00pm until late, with team appearances, giveaways and live performances.

Friday
Day two of the NRL Vegas 9s tournament continues at Silver Bowl Park from 10:00am to 5:00pm. The Business of Sport Conference is held at Resorts World, bringing together sport and entertainment leaders from Las Vegas, Australia, the UK and beyond.

Saturday — match day
In 2026, the triple-header at Allegiant Stadium opened with the Super League match at 4:00pm, followed by the first NRL game at 6:15pm and the second NRL game at 8:30pm. The 2027 running order will follow once confirmed by the NRL.

Getting to Allegiant Stadium for Rugby League Las Vegas 2027

Walking
Walking is the most popular option for Strip hotel guests. The Hacienda Bridge crosses from Las Vegas Boulevard to the stadium and is pedestrian-only, closed to traffic on match days. Allegiant Stadium is within easy walking distance of the Fan District, including Mandalay Bay, W Las Vegas and Luxor.

Public transport
The RTC Deuce bus runs 24 hours a day, every 15 minutes, from 57 stops along Las Vegas Boulevard, with the closest stop near the Hacienda Bridge at Mandalay Bay. A 24-hour pass covers travel to the stadium and anywhere else on the Strip and can be purchased through the RTC app.

Rideshare and taxi
Uber and Lyft service Allegiant Stadium with a designated pick-up and drop-off area in Lot N. A separate area west of the stadium near Diablo and Procyon serves taxis, shuttles and general drop-off before and after matches. Expect congestion immediately after the final game.

Getting to the Strip from Harry Reid International Airport

Taxi
Harry Reid International Airport has a designated taxi line outside the baggage claim area, with flat rates to different zones on the Strip. Taxis are one of the fastest options from the airport.

Rideshare
Uber and Lyft operate from a designated area on the second level of the airport parking garage, on the same level as flight arrivals. Collect checked bags first, then head up one level. Checking both apps is worthwhile, as rates fluctuate with demand.

Hotel shuttle
Shared shuttle services operate from the ground transportation level, including Airline Shuttle, Bell Trans, Showtime and SuperShuttle, with tickets available at operator kiosks. Shared shuttles make multiple hotel stops, so travel time varies by hotel location. Some hotels also offer private guest shuttles.

Public bus
The RTC Deuce bus is the most budget-friendly airport option, stopping at the airport and along the Strip approximately every 15 minutes. Single-ride tickets and day passes are available at kiosks or on board. The Las Vegas Monorail can also be reached from Las Vegas Boulevard.

Allegiant Stadium — know before you go

Allegiant Stadium is a cashless venue, so bring a card or mobile wallet. All bags are subject to inspection and must be A4 size or smaller. Tickets must be displayed clearly and be scannable on a mobile device.
