  • Introduction

Wimbledon, officially known as The Championships, is not just the oldest but also one of the most prestigious tennis tournaments in the world.

Since 1877, it has been held annually at the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club in London. As one of the four Grand Slam tournaments, alongside the Australian Open, Roland-Garros (French Open), and US Open, Wimbledon is celebrated for its iconic grass courts, the traditional all-white dress code for players, and the presence of royal patrons. The tournament showcases the best of tennis with men’s and women’s singles, doubles, mixed doubles, and junior events, attracting top players and captivating a global audience every year.

London, the perfect host city for such an illustrious event, offers an experience that transcends the tournament. The 18th-century writer Samuel Johnson famously remarked, “When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life,” and this sentiment holds true with each visit. Beyond the world-famous landmarks, London is a city that constantly evolves, offering something new and exciting at every turn. Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, you might skip the usual attractions in favor of wandering through lush parks, historic squares, and along the riverbanks. Soak up the summer energy with vibrant events, garden parties, and unique experiences that only London can offer.
